yes. for many the price is high if their docs do not inform them about the concessional costs of drugs at distributors.
many get duped by distributors who retain a lot of margin as profit.
the competition has driven costs very low, so many foreigners too buy from Mumbai provided they are lucky to get a distributor who gives them same concessions.
for people with absolutely no money, few state governments especially in areas of high prevalence run free med programs. in such patients get fully free treatment.
