Sofosbuvir not available in Russia 6 years 8 months ago #25101

Unfortunately in Russia Sofosbuvir is nowhere available.-

I'm not sure if I need a treatment at all:

Genotype 1 b (maybe caught 1971 in a car accident)

concentration 1.600.000 copies ME/ml

kPa 12.9

ALT 91

AST 79

GGT 436

Kreatinin 86 MKMOL/L

We foung suppliers of generika from India at a reasonable price. But who controls if they produce fakes, maybe life-dangerous ones?

Problem is this anti-HCV-generika is neither registered nor admitted in Russia BUT obviously you can buy it anyway.

Would you start a treatment anyway with the datas given above? I've got no ascites / no oesophagus bleeding so far.

As far as I know Swiss people only get Sofosbuvir in case they already have cirrhosis, what a shame for such a rich country...I'm originally from Germany but live in Russia.

Welcome Buranovitsch!
Yes, you do need treatment. Someone else on this forum will know about getting generics to Russia. Until then, please adjust your thinking from "do I need treatment" to " how can I get generics as soon as possible".

Your genotype is type 1. Using the information on this site shows the current treatments available for type 1 treatment

Best wishes, Mnem

Hello Buranovitsch,
If you email these people they can explain how people in Russia can purchase the medication with guaranteed delivery. They are online now I think:

It took about that time to arrive to my house too, and I will never forget how happy I felt when the courier walked to my door. I had to hold myself back from kissing him :) Mnem
