Hi WishIWasAWombat It’s good to hear that one of the forum's trail blazers is still HCV clear EOT + 6 months … it gives hope to the rest of us following. I love your rounding-up skills. By the way, I went through a phase during my youth when I secretly wished that I was a Wombat too as they eat roots and leaves. But seriously, I fell in love with Roy & HG’s Fatso the fat-arsed wombat during the Sydney Olympic Games coverage on their show The Dream. Here’s a photo of a replica of Fatso I wish you continued success with your small business. | oh my lordies, hehe, Yeh, such a high cure rate and then even if not, diff combo's to try, it's amazing, from what I can understand of your profile you are undetected too, and after being sick enough to be in hospital in 1983, isn't that amazing. I did interferon in the bush in Tasmania 10 years ago, and I had 2 baby wombats that slept with me (plus 2 cats and a small dog, with another 2 bigger dogs on the floor) So that is where my name came from. The plumper one was called Ruby and the little runt was James... I had green stains all over me from where they'd pooh but we all just kept sleeping, lol Diagnosed in the early 90's, geno 3, had Interferon 2006, currently on Sofosbuvir & Daclatasvir NO VIRUS @ 4 WEEKS of Sofosbuvir & C Daclatasvir Still free - SVR4 and at 8 weeks too Still free at 7 months, CURED!! |

I love the photo of Ruby and James. Yes, I was lucky to be undetected at 4 weeks, which is pretty common for GT2s on generic SOF + DCV from my understanding. The real test is in a few weeks’ time when I get tested for SVR4. I’m not worried about it, however, as I’m feeling fine at the moment and there are other options available should I relapse. I simply try to keep a positive attitude, without being complacent, or deluded like the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail who after having all four limbs severed thinks that it’s just a flesh wound. It’s also therapeutic to have a laugh at ourselves and the world as we see it. It’s no good whinging and complaining all the time as it falls on deaf ears. It sounds like you are in good spirits now that you are well and truly cured. | YAHOO! Fara! Ain't it GRAND! Finding this place was like finding an oasis in a desert where we were dying of thirst and about to give up... then, suddenly, someone, (Dr. James Freeman) lifted our heads and kindly, gently, gave us this life-saving drink .... as our eyes and minds cleared we looked around and saw that we were surrounded by others he's brought to the shade and given the same drink. They in turn are helping still more people to the shade and encouraging them to drink ... what a scene eh? Thank you Donna, Ariel, and Matt...It feels sooo good to get that undetected result. Just had to have the happy dance today. Reflecting back it has been difficult; words can't really express having this opportunity be free of this dreaded illness.
