Hello. I have been waiting for my meds for quite a long time. The FDA placed a hold and wanted to return them. Then the lady who was very kind lifted the hold.
DHL continues to tell me every day that it will ship that night and be here tomorrow.
EVERY DAY it’s the same. They can’t tell me why it’s not moving. No one seems to know what’s going on. I told them these meds can save my life but they seem to remain stuck.
    Does this happen frequently?
Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hello HCV2B,

I didn’t have exactly that problem but did have something similar. There was a security alert in India and the powers that be ordered that planes carrying cargo be unloaded and that every package be checked. That took several days to get sorted out and then the UK customs checked everything again on arrival, took the paperwork which came with the meds – much of it confidential – and repacked them and they were then passed on to Fedex for delivery.

You can imagine how I felt. I never saw the paperwork again but did get the meds alright and what’s more THEY WORKED.

I suppose I pretty much know how you’re feeling but the odds are that your stuff will arrive okay. My advice is to ring every day and if nothing has happened after a week, then contact customs. Or you could just do that straight away.

    All the very best,

    RSF

    Hello HCV2B,

Thanks for your patience. Sorry things have taken a little longer than usual. For an order like yours, that was made on the 13th, it would usually be with you on the 27th – about 2 weeks. Sometimes it does take longer.

We understand the waiting is stressful, but as one patient once said, I’m not really surprised this can take a while, I’m more surprised that this works at all.

DHL has half a dozen arrival hubs in the USA and some are less problematic than others. Unfortunately, a new hire at the FDA decided that rules is rules and 3 shipments were confiscated in the Cincinnati processing centre. Imports into the USA fall under the discretionary powers of the FDA. With the right words in the right places that discretion has been exercised and the medications have been cleared for delivery.

DHL can’t deliver them right this second because they are physically with the FDA but they will drop back into the delivery system shortly, they will arrive, you’ll take them, and chances are you’ll be cured.

FDA lifted their hold on the 26th. DHL has told me 3 times since it would be here ‘ tomorrow morning ‘. One time even claiming it should’ve been here on that specific day I spoke to them, but the plane hit a bird. So it would be here tomorrow. Tomorrow never came, so far. Now they’re telling me they will need to hold it for another month as they themselves inspect my package.
More damage every day, I really hope to avoid a liver transplant. I’m so disappointed. Wish they would start this process over again and ship my meds FedEx.

    Hello again HCV2B,

You are obviously having a really hard time. I think that even if DHL take a month to process and release your meds, although they may not take that long, it is not likely to make much difference to the end result.

Liver damage progression associated with hepc is quite a slow process. You have every reason to feel frustrated, angry and worried because of DHL’s behaviour, which does seem pretty strange, but you will get through this.

    All best wishes,

    RSF

    Hello HCV2B,

That all sounds rather odd. The FDA have cleared your medications and DHL are a shipping company not an inspection company. Have you taken down the names of the people at DHL who have given you these various stories?

In terms of time it has been 21 days since you ordered, and while this is longer than we would like it took 6 days from your order for the medication to arrive in the USA with the remaining 15 days relate to the FDA and DHL.

    Your tracking currently says this:
