Help With Bloods please? 7 years 11 months ago #16846
Hi friends, I was hoping someone could help me out with deciphering blood tests my Viet. Vet friend got back. He's been on tx for 4 wks. I don't understand the jargon! : HCV Quantitative RNA 1.54 x I0 E2 IU/mL HCV Log 10 RNA 2.19 IU/mL Does this mean he still has hep? He's a GT 3. 2 transplants. Cirrhosis. He says now though, he's feeling quite good. Hope someone can help, please? Thanks & good luck to everyone. His viral load is 154 so yes he still has detectable virus. GT3s respond slower, and so do cirrhotics. It's not a great result, but it's not a bad result either. He will be on 24 weeks and it's still early days. YMMV | |

OK, well that's ok, sounds like it's working on him Yes he's doing 24 wks. Not sure what his VL was before TX because they refused to do a VL on him. Anyway, thanks so much Dr J Cindi x J the young dragon slayer is: HepC 1a since birth Male aged 15 VL 2000000 Started Twinvir/ 10-11-15-then Sof/led.
