| Nice one splitdog! Got the same myself and posted link in a couple of other forums. I'm surprised how long it took HC site to post the UPI article out since April 17, 2016 ... Oh well, kudos to Dr. Freeman and the Redemption e-trials. It obviously takes courage and determination to continue the good fight. We all owe you, Doctor, and your staff, not just our gratitude but quite literally, in many cases, our lives. 'Thank you' seems inadequate, but we can't say it enough. So, THANK YOU. Let's hope it does not come to that, but like Martin Luther King said.... fixhepc.com/blog/item/37-there-are-some-...-jr-in-syracuse.html It's worth waiting for the ad to play. Fixhepc is my non violent protest about a moral wrong. Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, HIV, TB and Malaria are the 5 major causes of infectious disease death worldwide. In a breakthrough that rivals the invention of penicillin, drugs that cure hepatitis C, with minimal side effects and high success rates, have reached the market. Across the world 150 million people are infected with Hepatitis C and it causes over ½ a million deaths each year, but, in what must be one of the greatest tragedies of modern times, these life saving medications are not being deployed on a mass scale. The system is broken, let's fix it. YMMV The following user(s) said Thank You: LondonGirl, coral, Vororo, mgalbrai, Paul-Jarman-facebook, sabrecat, Gaj, IRMA88, Matt-Kenney-google, Meg, GT2 | |

Dr Freeman (James) is being put forward for Australian of the Year by an anonymous grateful recipient of his amazing work and kindness. That's all I can say and I am not the one who is writing the recommendation, I am just in a conversation with another friend from way back in this hepC fight who wants and is doing this. We chatted about how, who, where etc with organising recognition and think it's hard with generics in any setting so we hope that Australian of the Year is a receptive audience. I think in all seriousness this thread shows our collective appreciation for the tireless campaigning and treating of people with HepC For making the seemingly impossible, possible Ty for that so much and I hope my friends submission bears fruit after so much work and so much more to achieve globally.
