Fake and Counterfeit Hep C Medicines: Fear Based Propaganda 7 years 4 months ago #23142
A lot of people are afraid that if they buy generic hepatitis C treatment, they might be buying a fake. Here is a post by Greg Jefferys (scroll down to 9th December), in which he presents a convincing argument for why (at least for generics) the notion of "counterfeit meds" is a myth: hepatitisctreatment.homestead.com/generi...tis-c-medicines.html It should also be borne in mind that the Indian pharmaceutical companies that make sofosbuvir etc. are BIG companies who employ professional chemists who work in modern factories. Their products are approved by the Indian government. So as Greg Jefferys says, as long as the supply chain can be trusted, there is no reason to doubt that generics are not bio-equivalent to the branded version. Diagnosed Jan 2015: GT3, A0+F0/F1.
