Hi Dac

Good to hear that you are still UNDETECTED at 12 weeks.

I would be hesitant to drop the Rib considering the Hepcivir L + Rib combination is working so well.

I’m not a medical professional, so my opinion is merely a lay person using logic.

Sorry to hear about your dose of diarrhoea and the itchy rash. I would be seeking out remedies for those instead.

A discussion of remedies for rashes can be found here:
fixhepc.com/forum/end-of-treatment-eot/7...sh.html?limitstart=0

fixhepc.com/forum/end-of-treatment-eot/6....html?start=15#14690

I’m sure others can suggest remedies for the diarrhoea.

Ribavirin has a long list of side effects, however, try to look at it as short-term pain for a long-term gain.

Cheers

With so little really known about GT6 (as in only 25 people reported taking it for 24/25) it's really hard to take a view. If it ain't broke don't fix it but if it's coming to a question of stopping the riba or stopping treatment stop the riba and continue on the generic Harvoni.

Trials Data For Genotype 6

Sofosbuvir PegIFN-α Ribavirin

NAIVE

Hi Dac

Some tried and tested home remedies for diarrhoea include yoghurt with live probiotics, ginger, bananas and apple cider vinegar. Try some or all to see which ones help you.

Despite the side effects, being UNDETECTED at 12 weeks is something to celebrate.

Cheers
