Hi Matt,

Your doc seems to be lacking a little in the empathy department. Making you wait for your labs is not only unnecessary, but cruel. This doc apparently doesn't understand the heavy underlying stress during treatment of wondering, hoping, wishing, praying that it will work.Especially after waiting to get on these meds. I really hope your doc has a change of heart and lets you get the labs.

Hi Matt, just in case your MD won,t order your blood tests now, you can order online in US at www.requestatest.com. The LFT is fairly reasonable. Good Luck.

Hi y'all!
Thanks Fara for that link and to you for the kind thoughts, semisweet.
Just updating what's happening with 4 wk after EOT labs. Got a call from the specialists office today, and they've agreed to coincide blood work to cover Hep C indicators. Yippee! The office staff even made a personal call to the lab to make sure it got done.
ALL that worryin' fer naught. I will definitely have an update here after results are in.
Thanks to alluh y'all for your kind words of encouragement. (don't ask me why I've slipped into the "yokel" lingo ... must be cuz I ain't takin' those dern pills n'more).

Hey Matt, More good reading this week - Fantastic ! Monkmed's prediction spot on :+1:

I was refused a post tx VL test as I had the audacity to go on holiday, on my return, I was told I would have to wait until 12 weeks post tx - as I wasn't around for the 4 week one.

Two more weeks of waiting (going rather slowly!) - Reading your news is helping to keep my positive head on Thank-you and my very best wishes for the next results. You certainly got rid of a large amount of those little blighters, looking at your profile. Good on you :cheer:

Thanks LG,
I got my svr4 results cuz my Family Practitioner wanted me to do a typical blood test and I had to persuade him and my Hep C specialist to include the test for HVC since my appointments with each of them were scheduled nearly back to back .... go figure???
Anyway, as I was leaving my appointment with the Family Practitioner with my test results I ran into the specialist and he said, "I see you got the good news. I thought we were waiting til week 12 for labs, that's when I like to test for svr at 12 and 24 weeks."
I replied, "Well, everything I've read says test for svr4 AND 12, and quite frankly I couldn't wait since my insurance coverage ends before reaching week 12."
He laughed and said, "Oh yeah, that's right, you told me that. Well good, I'll see you at the end of the month. Congratulations, it looks like the generics worked!" So hopefully, I can get insured before svr12 tests or just pay for it myself. They can sure make things difficult can't they, :(. Quite the difference between "them" and MonkMed heh? Gotta love it! looking forward to seeing both our svr12's sis :)
