Things are moving in the right direction
Yesterday I met up with a new specialist and had a great experience. He did two rounds of Fibroscan, but no results high enough for putting in a new application for meds from NHS. Then I told him that I was waiting for generic medication organised through FixHepC buyers club. He was quite excited about this, as he had heard of buyers clubs but didn´t know of any patients that had tried it in Norway. He was very supportive about my choice and agreed to let me be followed by the hospital during treatment. As he said "you´ll take the medicines anyway, and it would be unethical not to follow you during treatment".
I let him have a copy of the concent form from the Redemption trial and told him that he could let other patients curios about genercis contact me. Interesting to see if others will follow.
He also confirmed that once the meds arrive I can start taking them and that there is no danger associated with taking sof/led. I got an updated VL above 9000 and my others results seemed fine.
Today I recieved the tracker code from monkmed and my meds are on their way from India
Keeping fingers crossed they will get trhough customs without any trouble. Must say I´m very impressed with how well organised the Redemption operation is. Both monkmed and fixhepC reply to e-mails quickly and give good info all the way.
It´s been a good week
