This is one for those who encapsulated the Mesochem APIs themselves. I've noticed that the sof is pretty lumpy and the lumps are hard to break down, not crumbly. The obvious answer is of course to put it through a sieve before encapsulating, but I don't remember the use of a sieve being mentioned in anybody's instructions. So for those like me who started to encapsulate before realising that the api was all lumpy, my question is - does it matter? Will those lumps be digested just the same or will their absorbtion be hindered? The size of the lumps is what fits into a 00 capsule. I note that the sof API is documented as not water soluble. dt The following user(s) said Thank You: Life

Hi dt, Mine was powder-no lumps. I don't know what to say about disolving. I can't see why it wouldn't. Maybe just weigh 400 mg of "lumps", get a shot glass of warm water, dump in the lumps, see what happens, then toss that bad boy down. You can chase it with the led or dac. Did your powder come lumpy or get lumpy? Mike This email address is being protected from spambots. Hi dt, I put my sof in a bowl and mixed it for a while with an egg whisk till it came out as a more or less smooth powder. If you encapsulated it with lumps I can't see it making any difference except to maybe digest a bit more slowly. Hi Mike, My powder came lumpy directly on opening the foil pack. Interesting that yours was not lumpy. I stored it in a dry place with silica gel sachets at 70C, so no way it got lumpy with me. It's not humid either where I am. Yeah, I guess I just have to do some experiments. What's a few lumps to us pioneers, eh? dt The following user(s) said Thank You: mgalbrai

We have seen literally hundreds of packages of Mesochem API. It is perfectly ground and lump free. Sofosbuvir is hygroscopic (absorbs water) but I have some Mesochem API that is in a post testing and sitting in zip lock bags in the original open foil package. It has been on my desk for weeks. No lumps. Send us a small (1/8th of a capsule) sample and we will test it. YMMV

Hi Doc and thanks for the help. The Mesochem batch number of this sofosbuvir is BN15057157F, date 2015-8-13. I presume I should send the sample to your GPO Box 391 address. Will post immediately. dt

Life - So your sof changed texture after time. I received this package in September but have just opened it now. Maybe, as you say, it gets more lumpy after a time. Anyway, we'll see what the testing shows. dt

Doc Freeman - What should be put on the package customs declaration for this one sof capsule I am sending for testing? What carrier works best from UK for Tassie? fedex? DHL? UPS? dt

Just ordinary airmail works fine. I would just write "Medication for Testing" and print out a copy of the COA and MSDS from here and put it in the package: fixhepc.com/getting-treated/importing-fr...inese-suppliers.html I have spoken with Rachel about it and it's almost certainly (literally) from the bottom of a 25 kg barrel where it gets compressed (just like in a pill press that makes tablets), fixhepc.com/forum/experts-corner/548-lumps-in-api-powder.html I'm sure it will be fine, but let's test it to provide reassurance. As you can see Rachel is going to have words to the packers to make sure there are no more lumps. YMMV The following user(s) said Thank You: dointime
