Hi Coral. I just read this thread again and am so happy for you. You are such a great and positive person
I just want to give a "Shout Out" to Dr. Freeman You wrote : "My virus fought harder than most and after 12 weeks of Sof/Led I continued with another 12 weeks of Sof/Dac. And still it hung on…… After relapsing at around the 8th week after EOT I recommenced treatment with the Viekira Pak, Solvadi, Ribavirin on 3/9/16. The Ribavirin made things a little tougher (I’d had minimal side effects on the other medications) but it did a fine job. I was just unlucky as it is only a very small percentage of people that do relapse. " Anyone reading this, I hope you realize that probably no other Doctor in the world would be ABLE to prescribe all these different medications or would CARE enough to do it. What a struggle you had Coral. But what a savior and kind man Dr. Freeman is. Dr. Freeman may never be recognized for his humanitarian efforts. But surely God Karma will reward you richly. Well hello LG!! Thanks so much - yes it took a while but I seem to have got there although I will feel even happier ofcourse when I reach the SVR24 mark.
You were such a great support for this newbie and many others especially in those early days. I hope your HepC free life is humming along my friend. I'll send you a separate email. Commenced tx 12/11/15. 9 wk: VL <15 Detected but LFT = Normal 12 week results: UND (Yay!) Due to slow response commenced Sof/Dac 4 Feb for 12 weeks. EOT @ 24 weeks 27 April 2016. (With thanks to Dr Freeman et al). SVR11 result: VL 1,950,000. It's back! New tx 030916 (Viekira Pak, Solvadi, Ribavirin UND @ 111116. EOT 170217. SVR12 and SVR 24 |

Thanks so much for your lovely words - it is such a good feeling to be able to think straight and have a much clearer focus on the future. I know what you mean about our Doctor. He's quite extraordinary and I can't begin to think where I and so many others would be if he hadn't put everything on the line for us. G1a probably early 1980's, Biopsy F1(2010), F2-F3(2015). Thanks M. You were one of the originals and you have always been so helpful to me and everyone on this site. Seems like years ago now - lots can happen in a very short time.
