Hep C QLD Factsheet Draft 8 years 6 months ago #1855
| Hello, Hepatitis Queensland is drafting a new factsheet about importing new hepatitis C medications in Australia. This is in response to many enquiries from members. The fact sheet is mainly intended for people living with hepatitis C. The secondary aim is to provide information to health workers who may be supporting an affected community member. We need your feedback please. The information you provide can make a concrete and practical difference to the lives of people affected by viral hepatitis. Your feedback may be published but your name and contact details (if you choose to provide them) will not be published. 1. Please click here if you would like to open a new window and look at our current draft of the fact sheet. 2. The survey is here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/HQDraftFactsheetHCVImport I know the time allowed is short, but this is urgently required by those requesting guidance. Please provide your feedback before 9:00AM Monday 2 November. Thank you for your time. Here is an interesting excerpt from the factsheet put out by Hepatitis Queensland that may be of interest for those waiting for hep cures to be on the PBS. "How long until these new medications are free in Australia? Based on current information, it is unlikely that the government will fund these new medications before February 2016. Some news sources have reported that this could be pushed back to mid-2016" Get your meds now and live! Gen 1b 40yrs,tx naive, f3/f4.VL too high to quantify. Started tx 12Oct.sof and riba India via greg.Dac from Mesochem. 4wk result virus not detected, all liver functions in normal ranges. Only SE intermittent insomnia.Feel great and grateful otherwise | |
