I wondered about that, now that I'm more aware of treatment options. When I started, I was offered only the regimen I'm on. It may be too late now, I have only 3 more weeks of treatment. I wish I had known then what I know now. LLJ Geno 2b; Fibrosure 4. Tx: sovosbuvir/ribavirin x 16 weeks. EOT March 4, 2016 0 weeks: RNA = 10012000 iu/ml; log10 = 7.001. AST 129; ALT 133 4 weeks: PCR Quantitation = 60 iu/ml; log10 = 1.778. 5 weeks: PCR Quantitation < 15 (UND); AST 35; ALT 24

hey hey hey...i am the ORIGINAL "2B" here.... for what its worth, i took no ribavirin, i had it since 80's, and sofosbuvir and daclatasvir has seemed to have done the job. got my test results from 1 week past the 12 weeks eot, and was UND and was UND at 4 and 8 weeks too. best of luck to all 2B's and or course all the other b's and a's and c's and rest of the alphabet... yes we are exotic, 2b or not 2b..but .i think now im no longer 2b,,,..im just me GT 2b; since 80's, no prior tx, sofosbuvir and daclatasvir compounded from API's at Kingswood Pharmacy in Sydney, started tx nov 6,2015, undetected at 4 wks, UND at 8 weeks, UND at 1 week after EOT, UND at 4 weeks after EOT and UND at 8 weeks after EOT. Hi LLJ, Same here as 2b, I took no riba, am on sof/dac just finishing up my 5th week and was UND at 4wks. Have you done any labs while on tx? You can post them in your signature in your profile. Best wishes to SVR and hope you are not having too many sides from the riba. Hi, I'm so glad to see you are doing well. I had labs before starting treatment, then viral load and LFT's in 4 weeks. He did another viral load a week later because it had decreased but was not UND; it went to <15 (UND) the second time. I'm supposed to have labs again after end of treatment (2 weeks from now, I miscalculated), and again in 12 weeks. I wish I had known about this site before I started. It was considered unusual for insurance to approve as much as 16 weeks, I would have done more meds if I'd had the chance. I can even put up with the Ribavirin. The lab values are under my signature, if I did it right. LLJ Geno 2b; Fibrosure 4. Tx: sovosbuvir/ribavirin x 16 weeks. EOT March 4, 2016 0 weeks: RNA = 10012000 iu/ml; log10 = 7.001. With two weeks to go it would be easy to get 4-8 weeks generic Sof+Dac to finish off with, the goal being kill off any remaining resistant mutants. Chances are you will SVR but retreatment with 24 weeks Sof+Dac should work well with no prior NS5A exposure and is far less than most co-pays. YMMV
