HI Everyone - For anyone who is concerned about treatment - I contracted Hep C 38 years ago. Symptoms started appearing 10 years later but was finally diagnosed in 2010 with the usual level of doom and gloom from the British NHS. Having improved my lifestyle and diet and starting regular acupuncture, homeopathy and osteopathy my health improved greatly. This had the unfortunate outcome of de-prioritising me for treatment through the NHS - only the most ill qualify at present. However - I was directed to this site by a fellow "Hepper" and here I am to tell you that my first blood test at the four week mark is free of virus!!! So anyone not sure about the chances of success or side effects of the meds - please go for it!!! I haven't felt this well in years. It has been a bit up and down but nothing we Hep C experts can't handle. Just be good to yourself, eat well and rest. All the best to everyone GillA xxx

Welcome GillA, Great news to hear that your viral load was undetectable at 4 weeks. Is the NHS monitoring your treatment or have you had to arrange that privately? Hi Gaj It is truly amazing - I think I'm still trying to digest the results!! I am being monitored by my very understanding GP. I stopped the hospital appointments as they were completely unable to be anything other than be gloomy, unsupportive and at times downright scary. They also kept telling me I would have the treatment "soon" but they actually do not know when the meds will become available to everyone if ever. GillA xx

Hi GillA and welcome, Thanks for posting and congratulation on those great results. I had the same experience with hospitals and walked the path to undetected with the help of Dr Freeman and this site. Taking control of our own health and future has paid big dividends.
