| Hello everybody, new to the forum, but not to HCV....! I have only just got a replacement laptop so was unable to join the forum earlier I used FixHepC earlier this year after a good friend had used them in 2016. I did a 12 wk tx 10/02/17 - 04/05/17 and became undetectable at 4 wks. My GP was very supportive and ordered various bloods although I had to pay privately for the PCR tests. I have lived with this virus for some 38 years, give or take Over the years I've been asked by some healthcare professionals how I got it, so my answer would be "Owww any number of ways, next question" It has been such an amazing journey that I don't regret any of it. I wish I had a laptop for my tx period as I felt somewhat cut off and on my own, but I knew within a couple of weeks that the virus was leaving. I am a Yoga teacher and my own personal practice went through the roof. Prana-tastic..! It was because of the virus that I started my yoga practice, after a failed interferon/riba tx back in 2000. So I see it as a major teacher in my life. But now it is time to move onwards. I have not yet had another PCR, as I'm waiting for 12 weeks post tx, but my exit bloods showed normal LFT's You'll have to excuse me as I'm playing catch up with the forum, but felt it important to share my story as many others have in the hope it helps more people. So I'll get my numbers and stuff and do what I see others have done with a dx/tx timeline and get orientated around here. So Wishing Everybody WELL. Peace |

Hi InfinityDreams and Welcome. Thanks for posting....each success story helps someone who may be needing a little extra reassurance before they take the jump. You will have done some hard yards with the interferon treatment so I'm really happy that your story has a happy ending. Looking forward to hearing about your SVR12. | Hi Folks, up for my 12 wk EOT PCR on Friday, and I'm a tad nervous I would have gone and had a LFT a few weeks ago as my GP is interested in the whole thing, but have had a bad oral infection that needed several courses of anti biotics to sort out, so I thought this would probably elevate my LFT's ..........So fingers crossed and I'll let you all know sometime next week Wishing everybody WELL |

| Well that took a few weeks of being a tad nervous. Had to go back for a second test as the hospital that I use as a paying private patient took the blood in the wrong vials tops, and I wasn't paying attention. Just got the news.....12 weeks SVR......YAY, so far so good. In fact its 13 1/2 wks SVR I asked my GP who has been brilliant and supportive for a quantative PCR. I know from the previous tests that they use an assay that's <12. I'm still absorbing this news, as, like a lot of folk have little niggles and worries, overlooking the fact that I'm just off 58 years old and have normal age related stuff. One thing that has remained good since treatment and got me sort of hopeful was the condition of my pooh. I guess that was a goodish indicator. Off to contemplate my fantastic result, |
