Hope, you wrote: I also have high glucose which I never had before...apart from my high level of iron. Anybody else got this? I'm on a low carb diet, my intake of sugar is low, and I drink plenty of water... Hi Hope My fasting glucose level has shot up to 11.9 ... unfortunately, it wasn't tested immediately prior to treatment ... the last time it was tested, in 2012, it was 6.2 and then 6.0. I too am on a low carb diet, drink plenty of water ... and I exercise every morning. I was wondering if the increase in blood sugar affected your treatment? Also, how long did it stay high? At first I was pretty worried about it. However, I'm feeling really good, and feeling better as time passes, with no side effects. So, I'm hoping that the raised blood sugar may only be temporary while on treatment. Hi GT2, my glucose was high only around week 4, by week 8 it was ok and EOT it's fine. I didn't worry that much about it and it passed... worried more about high iron but that passed too. Funny thing is that usually iron is not monitored during hcv tests so I'd say manny might have it high but don't even know. Monitor it and hope it's gone soon thank you for all your wishes folks...a lot of beautiful ppl here GEN3 for 20+ years November 2015: Bilirubin 6, AST 0,88, ALT 1,74, gamaGT 0,17, HCV RNA 43800 (previous 478000) Fibroscan form 4,3 do 6,9 (measuring twice a year) Started Sof/Dac on 23.2.2016 Week 4: S-Bilirubin: 12, S-Bilirubin dir: 4, AST: 0,30, ALT: 0,36, Gama GT: 0,17, Fibroscan: 4,4, still HCV RNA positive (no VL measured) Week 8: S-Bilirubin: 8, S-Bilirubin dir: 3, AST: 0,39, ALT: 0,39, GamaGT: 0,14, UND 16.5.
