| Twinvir used to be only available in 7 pill boxes as well until they changed to 28 day bottles but i'm not complaining just thought it strange that it would be sold like that. The small package size relates to buying this weeks medication with this weeks pay which is the reality in a lot of less financially advantaged markets. The idea of buying all your medication in one go is totally out of reach for many people in countries like Bangladesh, so in context the size makes sense. I expect larger pack sizes will appear in due course, but both the production dies, and box work needs to be tooled up. Beacon favour blister packages over bottles because it is much harder (as in expense) to fake blister packaging. Bottles are relatively easy as the bottles are standard off the shelf so a bottle of fake medication is really only stick a label on it. YMMV The following user(s) said Thank You: LondonGirl, Paul-Jarman-facebook, Gaj, beaches, Hazel, Greedfighter, Matt-Kenney-google, fitz, Peach | |

Hi Paul, Thanks for your thoughts. More a case of low carbs and sugar, more greens and use animal fats for most of your energy requirements. Here is a link to a post by Dr James about this sort of thing. fixhepc.com/forum/supplements/566-supple...viral-load.html#7463 In there you will see my post about my diet at the time which I have now modified a bit to reduce my carb/polyunsaturated fatty acid intake and increase saturated fats (but not hydrogenated) for energy. Pizzas are off the menu now. But for those fearful about Gaj's arteries please be assured that a) I am following this diet with a little bit of moderation so have just moved the balance further away from carbs and over to saturated fats than I usually would eat. b) It is intended as a HCV treatment diet until I achieve SVR not a lifetime plan. (I love pizza far too much to live out my days so miserably. Regarding fatty liver and fibrosis, etc. any exercise is good but from what I have been reading lately vigorous exercise really helps but make sure your doctor gives the go ahead first. Yeah, I know, not so much fun for us whose natural inclination is to be couch potatoes (joke) but if it helps then so be it! And thinking about this, do you remember member Bloot? From his tales he had often led a dreadful lifestyle for someone with HCV but his liver was in pretty good shape. Well he was also a very keen and active mountain biker so that is starting to make sense to me now. Hope all that makes sense. Take care and best wishes for your Tx. It sounds easy but in reality a bit harder especially working odd hours like I do but will manage it. I just showed my wife your post as proof she needs to feed me more protein and less carbs. Steak,Vegies,Eggs,Bacon and Thai curries I can do though next week I will be living on the road and have to rely on roadhouse food. Actually after 4 1/2 months tx my liver is now feeling pretty good nearly all the time but I expect the virus to come back when I stop. cheers Two time relapser. | Hello PJ, I've just accidentally messed with your karma. I was just fiddling about to see how it worked and clicked on the minus, and it removed a point. Despite clicking twice on the plus, it made no difference. Sorry again. G3a. Probably infected 40 years ago. Diagnosed July 2015 7/7/2015: ALP 69, ALT 209, WBC 5.8, VL 40,000. Fibroscan 9.5 Kpa. Hi Paul, Yeah, being on the road would definitely make it harder, I guess you just need to make the best choices you can and maybe ask for extra veg or salad instead of chips, etc? I'm certainly not perfect with it either. Invited round to dinner at my sister's the other night and figured I would just ask for a small serve of carbs but we had paella. I considered telling the others that I needed to eat all the seafood and chorizo and they could have the rice....decided I wasn't that brave. Hi Rightsaidfred You can only give 1 karma every 6 hours, just in case you didn't know Genotype 1a Diagnosed in 2004, had HCV for all my adult life. Until 2016!!!! | Hi Gaj Just got back and for the most part stuck to the plan, no carbsjust protein and veges/salad except for the big breakfast yesterday morning. I can't help it if the put my eggs and mushrooms on the toast I didn't order As for the Paella taking the chorizo and seafood out without the rice would be a criminal act. Its probably my favourite dish. Two time relapser. SVR 4 achieved 12/16 at last SVR 12 achieved 22/02/2017 The Bastard has been defeated GT 3 - about 28 yrs with HCV |
