Some promising results from a trial for 'hard to treat' genotype 3 patients with cirrhosis + treatment experience. Hopefully this C-ISLE clinical trial will lead to inclusion of a Zepatier+ treatment as another recommended (or at least off label) option for GT3.

Great news, Gaj, is a generic version available? I guess that's the $100,000 question
Genotype 1a
Diagnosed in 2004, had HCV for all my adult life. Until 2016!!!! Harvoni treatment, started 19 March 2016 4 week results Bilirubin 12 down from 14 pre treatment, Gamma 25 down from 52, ALT 19 down from 63, AST 19 down from 47, VL <15 down from a lazy 6 million or so EOT Results Bilirubin 10, GGT 18, ALT 19, AST 21, VL UND 12 Weeks post EOT Bilirubin 11, GGT 16, ALT 22, AST 20, VL UND Cured baby |

You want generics two days after we find out it works?!   At the moment it's news of a possible option for GT3s for whom current treatments aren't always very effective. Although in countries where branded Zepatier is already available GT3 patients needing to retreat could have a discussion with their specialist about supplying their own generic Sofosbuvir.
