Hi flying fox, i do have kidney stones that I recently found out about with my liver u/s. Don’t know the details of whether I have them in both kidneys or their size. I do have an appointment with my GP next week and hope to get more details. I also had my gallbladder removed over 20 years ago due to stones. So in researching the kidney stones I found out about this chanca piedra and it seems promising. However I am currently on day #16 of sof/dac for the 12week course. Figured I would discuss this with GP and may need an X-ray or another u/s to determine the severity of the stones. Probably would think I would have to wait until EOT to try this chanca piedra. Anyone know more about if this is the best plan of action or if it is possible to take this while still on tx.

I wouldn’t try taking Chanca Piedra on tx, though it is quite a gentle herb.
I’d also be extra wary about self prescribing anything if I’d had my gall bladder removed, but sadly most GPs and specialists would probably be pretty clueless about it.
I did read somewhere there is a Dr in South America who uses Chanca especially for Hep C. I certainly think it had a contributing factor to my viral load reduction.

Thanks flying fox, I agree I will see what GP has to say and may consider at EOT.
