Tommy, contact curehcvnow@gmail.com for help on getting meds. I would recommend that, or buyers club here.
30 January 2016 at 7:00 am #10797Found this site from Greg Jeffries. My insurance from my job kicks in about Feb. 14 and will be trying to find a doctor in Florida to give me a prescription for generics. My research tells me I maybe interested in the Harvoni combo (2 generics) I’m 1a with hep c for 18 years. Really appreciate the information. Sincerely.
Genotype 1A
ALT 473
AST 226
Virus Load 3,119,030

Liver Biopsy Results from Feb 2013
Portal/Periportal chronic inflammation and mild interface hepatitis (Grade 2)
Focal Lobular chronic inflammation (Grade 1)
Portal/Periportal fibrosis (stage 1-2 trichrome and reticulin stains utilized)
Negative Iron stains.30 January 2016 at 7:05 am #10798Most doctors in USA will not write an RX for generics since there is no such thing here, and legally they might not be able to do it. http://www.gp2u.com, Dr. Freeman or Dr. Devsam in Australia/Tasmania ($70 USD) can give you an RX good for Twinvir or compounded Australian generics. Indian generics seem to be more complicated, you need an RX from an Indian doctor. Ghandi Medicos may be able to help, but importing from India may be more problematic. I’m on Twinvir and feel like it is working.
30 January 2016 at 7:47 am #10802CEO steps aside yesterday, but maintains a key role and their share prices are not exactly the yuppie market they were when he took the reigns years ago, that massive profiteering time has boomed, now it is just a sick sad sack of greed…. Let’s watch Merck coming into bat with their Gen 1 and 4 tabs…at a 30% undercut, a share price of over $50 … still a compete disaster fiscally.
30 January 2016 at 8:03 am #10803Hi Tommy,
You may want to enquire about the Redemption trials too. Listed by NIH in U.S. http://fixhepc.com/forum/media-news/625-redemption-is-official-in-the-u-s.html
It is organised by FixHepC and coordinated worldwide by Monkmed who I understand have a list of U.S. doctors by state who will prescribe. Sorry can’t find the post about that at the moment but mgalbrai (Mike) who started that thread is Curehcvnow@gmail.com and a very helpful guy to talk to about the U.S. situation.

30 January 2016 at 11:55 am #10808Thanks, LG. Very interesting! Does this mean that Gilead executives are starting to feel the heat?
Who knows for sure, but the article and the general feeling on twitter is suggesting that..
I mean, he’s made billions for them (and himself) so I guess he wants to be associated with success
and now he’s off to do something else I guess that doesn’t associate him with the backlash, that does seem to be building

Good advice here.
I sent you a PM.
Unless you are f-3 or f-4, you will be waiting a lot longer than for your insurance to kick in for coverage.
Fight for you coverage if you like,
I just got the generics and got well while I did it.

Below is another article from Radio NZ detailing what the ramifications are in relation to the TPPA and access to medicines if this trade agreement is ratified. Although Gilead is not mentioned you can bet they have had significant input.

I still view myself as an “enlisted” man. I suppose “warrant officer” will be tolerable. I will just keep piping and try not to poke the wrong buttons.

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC11 February 2016 at 1:45 am #11705Found this post on a site when researching getting battery storage for my solar panels:
USD3000 in USA and $15000 here [Australia]. Someone is kidding – or making a killing. I suspect reverse calculated what the market could bear off our high electricity prices rather than actual costs and margins. If greed doesnt get in the way this will be the future at some point – but as an engineer I will wait a few product cycles to get this all sorted , safe and reliable – and properly priced with competition.
Suc is life said a more honest man…
