    @pctree

    Purchased generic Darvoni from Beacon and failed to clear. Took the tx during the summer and am just getting back to focusing on the hep again! I have insurance but hate keeping appointments as I’m always super busy with work . I recently coerced a doctor friend of mine to write a script for mavyret but assume the insurance Co will deny it….

    I just read today that it is important to take Darvoni with food, I always took it at 6am as I headed out for work and don’t typically eat till about 10.

    Seems beacon is a legit operation so what would you guys suggest? Right now work is slower so I feel like I should be treating now, mind you that being said I felt good taking the Darvoni!

    Hello Pctree,

    Sofosbuvir/Daclatasvir (which is what’s in Darvoni) can be taken with or without food so don’t beat yourself up about that – it would not have made any difference.

    The sad reality of anything less than a 100% success rate is that X% of people fail, regardless of the treatment or the manufacturer.

    Retreatment is complicated. There is an entire section on the forum dedicated to it and I’m summarising all of that in a series of blog articles. Here is part 1.

    What I would suggest is that you make an online appointment with me and we can work out a plan. In the event you do get access to Mavyret you should strongly consider adding Sofosbuvir to it, or you should chase Vosevii via insurance.

    You can find me online by registering at https://gp2u.com.au/ and booking one of my “Hep C Only” appointments.

    All you need to do is this:

    Using Google Chrome, and on a computer with Camera, Mic and Speakers login to https://gp2u.com.au/ and go to the waiting room. Allow the use of Camera etc and it will just work.

    Alternatively, go to https://gp2u.com.au/ on a mobile device and get the iOS or Android app. Login on the app, go to the waiting room and start the video….

    Hey Dr. Freeman, so I have the Mavyret coming so I now need to order the Ribacvarin and Sofo.

    What is the best way to proceed?

    Thanks
