I thought i read somewhere that the mathmatical calculation method (heposure/fibrosure) tended to come out showing a little higher level of damage than the fibroscan. If that’s true, and your objective is to get the insurance/govt. to give you medicine based on how bad off you are, then any error tending higher rather than lower would be advantageous at least towards your immediate objective of obtaining medicine.
and if Dr. Freeman says the method is reasonably accurate then it must be ok
For me at this point n ow that I’m taking medicine I’m not too concerned with it now, it is what it is and the medicines will do what they do, so I’ll get as good as I get once I’m done taking these, and I’m sure that’s going to be better than I was. Feel much better already.

That sounds like what i had but here in the US , but they called it a Fibrosure test, in lieu of a fibroscan. I asked my Dr. about having a fibroscan instead of the fibrosure and she said, “oh there are none of those machines around here, you would have to travel a long ways away and bla bla bla”. So I had the fibrosure and that came up with F2, i think it was a high end F2. I would have travelled the few hundred miles distance for the fibroscan (hell I traveled to Australia for medicine!) but she didn’t really give me the option. Weird.

Hey Browny, Im on my 16th/17th day, im the sole earner too, typically work 50 or more hours a week, job takes a lot of concentration, but no problem as far as side effect, haven’t missed any work, the only problem ive had is with the SLEEP, cause when the meds pop my eyes open after only 3 hours of sleep, then I don’t fall back asleep until 6AM, and then its time to get up and go at it, so for me, its just the messed up sleep cycle.
Having said that i saw the Dr. yesterday and said ‘DOCTOR, I can’t sleep, you gotta give me something here”, and gave me a bottle of one of those ..razapams, so last night I slept all the way through and the wife therefore got her first good night’s sleep too since I started the meds, cause I was keeping her awake all night getting in and out of bed.
If you have the sleep issue, which a lot of people do I hear, dont wait two weeks like I did, get in there and get something, for me it was not getting better, it was consistently 3 hours of sleep then POW, I was UP. . But OTHER than that…ive got nothing to bitch about and even that feels like a pretty whiney, minor thing to bitch about considering all in all.

yep em, i seem to recall some older tests, that I dont have access to any more what were 200,000 and maybe up to 300,000, then they started going down to those numbers I pasted up there, and one doc saw them and said, “Oh, you must be on treatment, huh”? thinking i was taking the interferon, and I said no…never took that stuff, …..I’m hoping in a few weeks i seen NO numbers on there, hell not that many of them it seems like they ought to go quick!

yea, i just thought they always gave you the viral load numbers with the test. They say the numbers don’t mean anything but I’m always wondering how many of em are in there chewing on my parts.

hey, just a dumb question, these methods of calculations for viral loads have changed a few times over the years to the point of confusing me somewhat, so I just wanted to be certain I was reading it right, these are my most recent results from a couple months ago, PRIOR to my taking any treatment, can someone confirm or correct what they are saying on my number of copies? does this mean I had 120 thousand, nine hundred forty three, or is it some exponential display of millions? I should be going in for bloodletting next week to get my 4 week results, so I wanted to have an accurate idea of what these prior results are. Thanks all.

I think i get what your saying Dt, they are assholes, collectively, corporately and as individual cogs in their corporate machine doing what evils they do, they sure as hell bear a lot of responsibility for this crap. Like the assholes who walked away with billions from the various world governments who bailed out their bad bets after they crashed the economies.
Remember the 60 minutes expose where the health insurance exec went rogue and ratted out the owners of the health ins corps for eating exotic delicacies on solid gold dinnerware as they flew over the bedraggled ‘flyover’ areas with people lining up in pig farms in the US to get basic dental care? WTF?? They get no sympathy from me, but from what i hear they have built private bunkers and islands to hide out on in case the masses wake up and come after them. I think i heard some are planning to hide in New Zealand actually.

If I’m not mistaken the new TPP (“free trade”
agreement will require signatories to let in food from any of the other signatories and not even be allowed to put a label on it to tell you its country of origin…not good, because then we won’t even be able to be enlightened consumers to know that what we buy might be coming from a place that is using bad antibiotic practices or who knows what.

I just found out the mod on that hepcentral has now blocked me from posting anything at all, extremely aggressive anti-generic policing on there, cant even post a factoid of generalized information that mentions api’s. I did manage to help one person from there find their way here before I was effectively banned.
