    Hi Tina, damn sorry to read this news, but glad you are going right back at it, that’s exactly what I would do, hit them again while they are still down and regrouping, I’m a big believer in sofosbuvir and daclatasvir, seems to have worked well for me so far and was super easy for me–wishing you the best of luck on the next go round.

    Well, i can’t speak to exercise “during” treatment, but I can tell you that POST treatment, I have suddenly been able to hit the treadmill and am up to 1.5 to 2 miles on it every night, and it feels fine. Im sure I could do more too, but trying not to push it too fast (i do the treadmill, because it is STILL too nasty and cold outside here, I need a better Latitude)

    I couldn’t have done that before when I had the gunk in me, didn’t have it in me and I was getting badly out of shape, getting lots better now! Lots of different ‘things’ are coming back ‘online’, and I haven’t even felt the need to take the acid reflux meds I was supposed to be taking every day (although I never was very good about taking them).

    To try and answer why you weren’t “offered” daclatasvir, I read quite awhile ago somewhere that because there are relatively few of us GT2 types, that it was determined not to be cost effective/worthwhile to do a bunch of tests/trials on us to market daclatasvir because there just weren’t that many of us compared to the others. So, lazy way out is just offer you sofosbuvir and ribavirin. Also Ribivirin is much cheaper than daclatasvir.

    I also read that sof and dac has been approved for GT2 in Europe for several years now. “They” won’t offer it to you because its not listed in US and I dont think Aus yet as “approved” for GT2 cause nobody in US or AUS did the trials for us with dac. It worked GREAT for me, no ribavirin…unless you are in really dire shape, cirrhosis or something, i would try it without the ribavirin, i hear the ribavirin can be hell for some people.

    12 weeks of sof dac is what I did, clear at 4 weeks, and clear at 1 week after eot, waiting for more tests,
    it was a piece of cake…

    i don’t know how many, but why limit the count to Austrailia? there’s a bunch of us from all over who have been cured.

    The tpp is bad news for every HUMAN on the planet, and corporations are NOT people (although our gov’t illogically says they are).

    Exactly!! I have always grown accustomed to something making you suffer or hurt in order to get better, from getting a shot, to getting your broken bone set, or whatever…theres usually supposed to be pain and suffering involved. If those tests hadn’t said what they said, I wouldn’t have thought it was all real.

    This was like nothing, I never even had a stomach ache. I’m sorry for the people who aren’t having it that easy, the diversity of the reactions, even among those who had similar conditions to start just seems wild.

    I have not heard that, but i’d be concerned given your level and condition. The only answer I would trust on this would be from Dr. Freeman, I think by now he has probably cured more people with the new DAA’s than anyone else in the world, so I doubt you could get a better answer from anyone else. Just personally, given that condition, I would tend to err on the plus side and go further unless Dr. Freeman says you don’t have to. Best of luck to you, you are in a good place for treatment and advice here.

    Seems so weird that some of us have absolutely nothing to report regarding discernible side effects and others of us seem to be going through hell. I mean I literally get a hair stomach achey from some antibiotics, yet nothing from sofosbuvir and daclatasvir. If I didn’t know I had been taking them, I wouldn’t have known I was taking them (like that guy in North Carolina told me, “I never met nobody before that I didn’t already know”;).

    I wonder what it is that causes such diverse reactions in us? It seems these are all over the map with our admittedly small (so far) size sample, but still, all over the map. hmmmmmm….oh well, UND is a good result whether you get there on the easy road or the back way on the bad road down the bad side of the mountain.
