My GP knows nothing about the generics, even made me feel bad suggesting them for my son, I hope she’s looking at this forum & gaining knollege.

I haven’t been back to her since J started Generics.

She made me feel like a bad mother even thinking about it..

I found eating before the fibroscan made the result much higher for some reason,
the next one I ate & drank nothing for ages before & it was a lot lower!

    so….hopefully that’d work for you.

    Hi Archer,

I’m so happy to hear the result of UD for you, really happy for you.
I agree with you how we were just left to get sicker & sicker by the Gov.

But now you will find yourself healing more & more.
    It is wonderful news
    Hang in there girl. :)

    Love Cindi xo

    Hi Debs,

I’m sorry you’re having BP troubles.
    I hope it settles soon.
Can you get checks in chemist shops?
Often here in Australia, they have the machines in chemist shops, & the chemist will do it for you if you ask.

I’m lucky that my young J doesn’t seem to get any sides at all, I guess being so young makes a big difference!

The walks sound good, fresh sea air, good for you :)

Debs, I’m going to try to get & try that product “Elemis franfipani Monoi oil”, never heard of that before.Thank you.
I do think the Aveeno is very good.
I used it all through my horrible interferin tx’s, it helped a bit.

My hair’s still dry a lot of the time though, so am going to try to find the one you recommend , so thanks for that.

    Hey Ariel,
I so agree with you about the dreadful Peg/ifn, , and to think my son’s specialist wouldn’t even consider even listening to me about the generic orals….BUT….DID want to push that poison Ifn on my boy.. .. makes me so mad.

Good luck Flying Fox. What state are you in? I’m in Sydney & my neighbour feeds the bats, see a lot around here.

I know that the old meds (ifn + ribas) could knock out the B as well as C, because it did with my husband.
so maybe these new more powerful orals do as well. :)

J didn’t play rugby or contact sports, because of his virus, except soccer, but there wasn’t any blood contact there.
this was pretty hard on him & made me feel even more guilty.

He liked swimming & tennis for a while though, that was ok :)

Sometimes I wonder if there are other young people out there who have hep c & don’t know it & playing contact sports?
I think the older professionals get tested, don’t they?

Why don’t mozzies spread it if they spread other viruses I wonder?

That Aveeno body moisturiser I mentioned is good, I get rashes to things easily too but never got a reaction from it.
Also there’s a Aveeno body wash as well.

I’ve also heard that the apricot kernel is good

Also a thought, when my husbands gone to Thailand, ( he likes to try new things) he one time did this thing where you put your feet into a pond of tiny fish that nibble on your feet, removing dead skin I presume (yuck! <img style=ick:' /> ) that can’t be hygienic?? & possible risk of HCV ??

I reckon he likes to do things to get a shock out of me, like telling me about the grose stuff he eats there.
Like spiders & cockroaches they cook on the street carts on the side of roads.

..but fish biting at your feet/? possible contamination there? also sounds pretty creepy to me.

I could not agree with you more that we are extremely fortunate to have men of such compassion as Dr James and Greg who dared to stand up against the rest of the medical profession and take the courageous steps to help sufferers, when no one else was prepared to take the risk. What a debt we all owe them.

Oh zhuk, I SO agree with you.
    How lucky are we!!!!

Dr James & Greg deserve a medal!

My child is a different person now & I’ll never forget Dr J’s kindness & courage.
