….and the good news keeps coming! Congratulations and Cheers!!!
Hi Cindi,
Was just having a quick look at the site and saw J’s news. That is just fantastic. I loved his reaction – typical teenage boy – bring it inside first to digest and then let it out to the world a bit later. Totally agree with Dr J’s super hero status.
Well done you – you must be so relieved..
CoralHi Cindi,
I also had my 4 week blood test/VL yesterday. I had a very switched on nurse at Sonic Healthplus who knew of Dr James, GP2U and was unfazed by the generic treatment.
She said to me that I shouldn’t be charged for the tests including the VL but did say I might receive a bill and to query it if I did as sometimes they are incorrectly charged. I’m not sure if J has exceeded the 2 quantitative/4qualitative VL tests covered by Medicare but thought I’d mention it.
Good luck with the results J!

Hi Chejai and Honker,
I had an appointment with Dr Freeman last week to catch up and get my referral for my 4 week blood test which I had today.
Understandably he is harder to get an appointment with because of his workload. What I did was to check in on my GP2U application on my IPAD regularly and then his name suddenly appeared for a few appointment times so I grabbed one.Hang in there and keep checking the site.

You killed those suckers…well done 2 B.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I was travelling to New York while you were travelling to Australia for your meds. I actually did get to see places outside of New York as well as we went to the Hamptons (one of those houses could pay for a town full of Hep C treatments), Boston and Salem (for Halloween – that was quite something). Then we drove up to Camden on the coast of Maine which I fell in love with. Not sure where you are but it was autumn/fall and your country was just beautiful. Your American colleagues were fabulously friendly from the retail staff, restaurant staff, police, toll booth operators, ferry operators, pub owners right down to the kids.
One day I’ll go back and experience it all without the brain fog. Might be even better!
Good to hear your news Klhilde.
2b you’ll need to let us know what the mysterious 33.9 means. Even I did a bit of googling in blood results and couldn’t
work out what it might be.
Joy – I know what you mean. I take my pills at night and they seems to have a slight sleeping pill effect on me as well. I’ve had disrupted sleep for a number of years so it’s been one of the positive side effects.Coral
Hi,
Yes everyone except New Zealand citizens need a visa or travel authority to enter Australia. There are a few different types of visitor visas dependant upon length of stay etc. The site usa.embassy.gov.au has additional information for US citizens travelling to Australia.
Cheers

A thermomenter is a fancy version of the thermometer…..just saying…
I didn’t notice the thermomenter at the time (not sure how I missed it!) but I had followed the same process as GAJ and when I got to the “Leave a message why this donation is special to you” part I typed in FixHepC in the “other” box so that makes it pretty clear.
I just checked and it’s up to $6,526 right now which is great.Coral
Well done Klhilde and Paul for pursuing this. Happy to contribute to another opportunity – great way to help out a fellow HepCer and spread the word further.

Welcome Sue,
Alsdad covered it well – everyone seems to be different. I am three weeks with minimal side effects. I think I feel clearer headed with more energy but having had the virus for so long I sometimes find it hard to know what “feeling better” feels like.
Hope things lift a bit soon for you.

Hi Sir…..you’re giving them a proper battering. Great news. Good luck with the next blood result.

I wanted to add my congratulations Crazy8. I love these good news stories. Did you do that jig??
I’ll have my first 4 week blood test next week so here’s hoping. Either it’s my imagination or I’m definitely clearer headed.
No side effects except I’m still making up for three decades worth of no dreams.Coral
Hi Chejai,
You must be so weary from running into brick walls but hang in there – you’ve come this far and you’re nearly there.
Zhuk’s suggestion about the Hepascore is a good one as it does seem to be an easier way to get what you need. We’re all in this fight together. xx
