Hi All, I was havin a snooze this arvo when Dr J called me to tell me the good news of being Undetected after 2.4 weeks of treatment, felt like doing a little jig …still do, so thanks to Dr J and the team at FixHep C, I know I still have a ways to go before I can say I’m cured, but I guess I gotta start thinking about what I’m gonna do with the rest of my life post Tx.
I am hoping everyone here gets that same phone call!

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*Hi, From what I’ve read the US customs don’t like to seize medications for personnel use but there seems to be no definitive policy?, there are people on this forum who have imported mesochem API DAA’s from China to the US and I’m sure as soon as one of these guys reads your post they’ll be able to offer some good advice if you chose to import yourself, of course testing these powders would be expensive but mesochem is a pretty reliable outfit, or you could fly to Australia have the medications tested and encapsulated start treatment for a couple days then fly home with your meds, a more expensive option to be sure, but reliable, the good news is you’ve got time to decide.
Best of luck to you

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*It took them 18 months of investigation to conclude that Gileads motives are driven by greed?, sheeyit, i came to that conclusion after a weeks surfing the net.
Still, it will apply a bit more pressure and that cant be bad.

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*Hi Angus, yeah I’ll keep in touch for sure, I’m going to wait and do blood tests at the 4 week mark, and once I’m on the Riba Dr J wants 2 weekly bloods to monitor how things are going, My appetite has improved noticeably already, I find my mouth watering in the supermarket now looking at all the tasty foods that a couple weeks ago made me cringe just to smell as I passed by on the way to the low fat low salt low sugar products, the last two weeks have blown by aswell, so if the next twenty two are on a same par hopefully we’ll be congratulating each other before we know it.

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*Gday Angus, I’m 2 weeks into treatment today, side effects have been pretty mild, wake up early and find it hard to go back to sleep, had one bad headache about a week into Tx, I have a lot more energy but have bouts of fatigue here and there, I find that’s usually after a meal, my lips feel a bit dry and I had mild euphoria at the start of Tx, I’m getting a few aches and pains here and there but overall I still feel better than I have in a long time, I’ll be adding 12 weeks of ribavirin into the Tx somewhere around the halfway mark.
Are you taking ribavirin for 24 weeks?, being f4 I assume you would be?
Anyways GL with your treatment.

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*Hi Laurent, welcome to you, your best bet might be to send an email to gregjefferys@outlook.com he may have some answers for people in France and how they can import generics legally, or you could enquire with your customs service in France and ask what the laws are regarding importation of medicines for personal use, finding a willing doctor to write a script for the generic medicine may be a tougher proposition?, anyways, ask Greg Jeffrey’s, he may have the answers.
Good luck to you.

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*Hi Lizzie, make an appointment with Doctor Freeman on GP2U, have your genotype, fibroscan score and latest bloodwork and he can prescribe the generics you need, you can also get any GP to refer you to the flinders medical centre hep clinic, they’re really helpful there and I’m sure will be happy to monitor your progress.

*V/L UNDETECTED 24/11*It’s not the US that’s denying victims affordable treatment, their citizens and government are being held to ransom along with the rest of the world, US tax dollars went to the scientist which helped him develop sofosbuvir who then sold his discovery to gilead, What the real problem is, is that no regulatory law exists that can crush this immoral price gouging from happening, a fair price is a fair price but I think all can agree that that is far removed from this situation, it’s all about money and how much they can pocket, the suffering of people is strictly minutiae to what is just blatant profiteering.

I think if he had HCV and had it for years and then he could treat and treat it right away, then he would. That’s just a no brainer, A lot of people have been waiting years for an effective treatment …sure lets wait some more! ..no thank you
