Hi Tom
4.5 kpa is a good score for fibroscan! Mine was 4.4 kpa in 2013, practically the same, and I remember the consultant saying it was the same score as his and classed as a normal liver.
Thanks Sirchinenge for your reply. Yes dryness a problem for me as well. Have you tried putting a nice hair oil in before rinsing off conditioner? I find it helps for me anyway, Cheers
Hi!
I’ve been on the meds since Tuesday, Feeling tip top and I’m sure you will too
All the best to youHi LG, it’s fine because I had work to do so it came in handy! and I’ve always been a bit of a night owl anyway,
But thanks
Are you finding you’ve got more energy generally?
Was just thinking of people still having to go on interferon…..especially with the tinnitus discussion and the problems people have been left with……Feel very fortunate, and gratitude again towards to Dr F. That guys Karma is going to be mega!
And was that good brand for Vit B called Linwoods or something? Going to send off for some today I think.
Have a good day!Re War of the Worlds -sounds like you had a great music teacher Tina! Love Richard Burtons wonderful voice also
This one is also good to lie down in the dark and listen to. Did this in the mid eighties with some friends, one of them suggested it, No drugs involved and it’s one of my strong memories….Hope you like it…..
“Starless and Bible Black”
Aww, Thanks for your comments too GAJ!
Yes, the hair thing, I guess we will just have to wait and see……..Unless anyone knows?
By the way, Nourkrin did really help me ( and I’m not connected to the company!) And they do a mans version but would be a bit dodgy to take on tx I think. I’ll probs go back to it after tx.Deb x
Aww, Thankyou Tina, that is kind!
I know what you mean about the discussions, so much going on! (I must admit I prefer LGs thread to mine – it’s like the big comfortable living room that everyone hangs out in!)
Presently an insomniac so hence quick reply!
Glad you liked the music!
All the best to you also,
Deb XI agree Pat, not just vanity, impacts on self esteem X
Hi Pat – I haven’t really seen anyone mention this much as a hep c symptom. So I wonder. When it first happened to me years ago I looked into it and came to the conclusion it was hormonal and an age thing. I tried loads of things and eventually tried Nourkrin that really helped, and also the B Vit complex.
Have ditched the nourkrin pre tx and hair hasn’t shed yet, but maybe it will. Maybe I’m clutching at straws thinking it might be hep c related due to lack of B Vits?
It really is horrible losing your hair isn’t it? I used to be so proud of mine, it was very thick and shiny. Now I just feel like I am hanging on to what I’ve got!
But there are worse things, obviously……….
Deb XHi Frankiej
Sorry it’s a bit late but Welcome from another UK refugee and a 1a also! Good you spread the word with the print out about this site to your doctors We have got to try to get the word out!
All the best to you on treatment
DebJumped over to my thread from the “supplements with evidence” thread as this bit is more about me than general.
Just quickly about the Vit D, that was one of the things that made my gp test for hep c as my Vit D was “on the floor” in her words. She had just been sent a lot of info about Vit D ( mentioning hep c ?) So she gave me 800iu of Colecalciferol, one daily – apparently this is the right form of Vit D as it also comes in another form ( from bad memory, please correct me if I’m wrong.)
I am now thinking about my hair loss problem which just suddenly started a good few years ago. I have never had B12 tested and wonder now if that was low because of the hep c and hence the hair loss. I know the B vitamins important for hair and I feel that taking them has helped with the hair loss. However I was also taking Nourkrin hair supplement which I have had to ditch as not sure of interaction with tx.
Just thinking aloud, maybe someone knows a bit about this? Hair loss linked to low B vitamins or hep c?
Thanks,
Deb
Nice one GAJ!
Maybe we will all look 10 years younger! Hope so! But feeling it will do!
LG and Ariel
Hopefully it’s one of those hep c symptoms that will improve or even disappear once tx is finished and the virus is history!
I think my dry eyes are a little bit better even now. Weird how this virus manifests itself re symptoms
Yes LG, mine has a lot of those ingredients in also, must be beneficial in a B complex.
But are they all good to take on tx I wonder?
I do want to keep taking B vitamins as I am sure they have also helped with my hair loss which I have had over the last few years.
Hi, just a quick question to Dr F hopefully if I can catch you
Or anyone who might know?
What do you recommend as the dosage for B12?
The existing bottle I had the nurse frowned at and said not to take as she didn’t know about what was in it. It was a Vit B complex with high doses plus other ingredients. Also whilst I’m here, just wondering about the timing of blood pressure tablet. Would that be 2 hours after the meds also? I can’t even remember asking the nurse about that! I just remember her saying to take the meds first.,
