    Hi Life

Where are you? Are you able to get a compound chemist to make up for you? Or alternatively you can get a filler kit and scales etc off ebay etc. There is lots written on here about how to go about filling etc and youtube videos as well. If you are in Australia you can have it tested in Tassie or you could wing it. It probably is from the same batch as mine and others. My batch numbers are in the thead emilio’s place, check it out and see if it’s the same batch? Chances are it will be. I have heard some people aren’t even compounding the powder just weighing it x 12 weeks and swallowing. The DAAs can be taken with or without food and don’t need to be absorbed with fat like ribavirin. Em

Yep well no blood transfusions here, mis-spent youth banging up and sharing up Afghanistan and Burmas finest. We had no idea, hep c wasn’t even invented lol and nor was needle exchange. Huge regrets now as a grandfather, father and responsible world citizen. Em

And I’m sure such a service will be established or is already established Alsdad. This is great news to know that this is another option. Em

    Hi Tweak and Nadia

Yeah I definitely don’t want another biopsy eewww, that felt so wrong and no fibroscan out my way lol. Talking with rachel from mesochem now to see if I can get 1/2 batch if not I’ll order a full course and go from there. Swallowed them soon as I pulled them out of the mailbox. Em

    Hi tweak

I believe I’m an F3 in terms of damage so not cirrhotic but reasonably advanced, so I’m hedging my bet so to speak. Look if I can’t order a 1/2 batch then I will do the full 24 weeks. I believe 18 weeks is plenty tho. Don’t forget I am a geno 1b (very suited to the DAAs) and I’m taking daclatasvir which has a log kill greater than ledipasvir and I personally believe it is a superior drug, only time will tell.

Yeah but no reason really, flip of the coin I guess, science can’t give me any additional informaiton. Em

notice the small amount extra with the sofos 7 x 12 = 84 (90) and daclats 7 x 12 = 84 (100). So 6 additional days with the sofos and 16 days with the daclats. I’m now in the process of ordering my additional 6 weeks, just to be sure. Em

I had my baselines drawn last Friday (FBC;UEC;LFT;ViralLoad) so done and dusted. I guess there is a chance that it all goes amiss and if so bad luck as this train now stops at 18 weeks. Dr Freeman should get those results this week. Em

My drugs have finally arrived. Might just eat sime right now. Em

Note: Picture removed as it identified one of the compounding chemists that are helping. The PCCA sent a letter to their members saying they should not. Some compounding chemists have chosen to ignore that and help. Let’s just carry on with a minimum of fuss.

And this is precisley why I have decided to add another 6 weeks to my 12 week sofos/daclats tx. I am geno 1b with a query on my fibrosis but in 2008 it was an F2 so probably progressed to F2/F3 at the very least. Thinking 18 weeks would be spot on for me. I just can’t see any use for ribavirin for me and given that I eat plenty last time around (74kg to 1400mg daily) there has to be some resistence. James I will make an appointment with you to get this happening. Em

    Hi Everyone

Meds are tested compounded and due to public holiday in Victoria today (Friday) and then in NSW on Monday my meds won’t arrive until 7/10. That’s funny, 3 days to get from China to Australia and 8 days to get from Tasmania to NSW, obviously the public holidays have made good old Australia post look average. Baseline liver testing today, so I wait patiently until next Tuesday. Em
