Hey
My 18 week sof/dac buddy, I was so gutted to hear the news. 24 weeks will get it this time, fuck this disease! Love and strength to you my brother. Em
Hi A
Go the 24 weeks. The insomnia will pass as you progress into tx. Good luck.and enjoy the ride. I took a bet each way and did 18 weeks sof/dac. However i was only f2/3. Dont risk it, hit it hard. Em
So happy for you Hazel, heres to SVR 24. Em
Awesome news Jimmy here’s to more of those numbers. Em
Hi Everyone
Six weeks after tx still UND and LFT is looking good, ALT 13, AST 20 and GGT 28. Em
Crazy prices and most would be as good as. Shit cheaper for the average Aussie to buy this rather than the free stuff which has a co-payment of approximately $200. Thats without a health care card of course. Em
Awesome news Lynne so happy for you. Em
Thanks everyone
I guess I’m happy to pay $70 for an UND any day of the week lol. Yep I’m thinking I must have gone over due to clinch with a test at week 6, apparently they didn’t draw enough blood and I doubled up on one of my pathology referrals? And yes it is a sign of the times with our revised system.
EmHey Sir
So fricken happy for you, that’s an awesome and encouraging result. Almost cured my friend and wouldn’t like to bet against this one.. Em
That’s an amazing alt result post 2 weeks. Mine at post 2 weeks was 15. Its actually down fro EOT which is crazy. Fingers crossed xo
Hi Tina
Daclatasvir is an NS5A inhibitor so if any resistance you would need to tailor your tx around this. This is why adding simprevir in this situation is considered a good alternative or inclusion x.24 Em
HI Tina
So sorry to hear this Tina! After speaking with you yesterday my mind was racing a bit and my after thoughts were? False/positive?, was that the limit of the quantitative test or was it actually HCV RNA detected?, why wait until 4 weeks – retest now and get back on if necessary – hopefully not, need to have RAV testing done and if NS5A resistant then consider adding simprevir to sof/dac and not riba 24 weeks. This latter option is more expensive however where there is a will there is a way. I’m happy to chip in and I’m sure others will also. Em
Wonderful news C and J, what an amazing journey! So happy for you Cindi the weight of the world must be lifted now. Em xo
Hey everyone
No further news this end still feel amazing. Just received a bill from my last blood test which is unusual here in Australia. Anyone else being asked to pay for pathology services as part of ongoing tx and post tx?? No drama however I’ve never been asked to pay for any testing prior to the last one?
Hey 2b, old timers for sure mate. But I now have a spring in my step, energy to burn and lead in the pencil lol. Em
