Thanks everyone for your kind words, my job now prevents me from dedicating lots of time to the site, however, I am a still around lurking. Besides there are so many dedicated and compassionate people on here now doing a far better job at moderation and support than I ever did. The site has definitely come a long way since I joined, I think I was like the 10th person to sign up and now there are 865 members and thousands of accessing weekly. I will continue to encourage people world wide to this site and I will include Australian’s in that group as I suspect that there will be a bottle neck to tx here which could prevent access to the ‘not so sick’ for extended periods.
I dedicate this song to fixhepc – A Style Council classic:

Mike re your quote on the dac vs led experience: I did sof/dac 18weeks and all these common experiences resonate with me. Slight headache to begin with, then supercharged for the next 4 weeks with great clarity albeit 3, 4 to 5 hours sleep. From about week 6 everything seemed to normalise (speed like experience started to taper) with another level of clarity. It was a trip which I didn’t mind at all, shit, one could live on this.
GF, good luck with the rest of your tx mate, I’m sure you will breeze through. Mike Keep up the advocacy and agitation love your work. Em
Hi Everyone
Well I’m done! That 18 weeks went really fast. Now for bloods at some stage and a nervous wait for the next few months. I’m thinking I will have my first blood test at 4 weeks post. I don’t really see the point in testing right on EOT. Anyway I will keep posting here as I move forward. Fingers crossed hey! I must say I didn’t expect to be missing my meds and you know I would do more if I had more lol, think that’s a control thing and must be the relapser in me. Here’s hoping I’m not part of the 4 or 5 %. Thank you so much for your support. Em
Thanks M, I thought as much! Follow money always!
What’s that saying from Keating and Lange ‘in a 2 horse race, always back self interest because at least you know it’s trying’. Em
Just wondering does the Professor have any affiliation with the gilead sof/vel trials ocurring in NZ at present? Em
Hey G, not sure why not? I’m viewiwng your profile atm. Maybe sign out and back in and see if that helps? Em,
Hi Chester
Im happy to be involved, lm recently out via a previous SMH article. Treated with peg/riba and a trial PI back in 2007 for 63 weeks. Now just finishing up 18 weeks of sof/dac generics. Would like to know a bit more about the slant etc but happy to discuss with BMS. Em
