Hi this is Sharky00 for some reason my old login isn’t working. To Riba or not to riba well after ALL MY READING & believe me I read everything I could before starting my treatment. In the end I went with my specialist & did not do it. At the time i said why not ( considering I am F4 ) he said well we will see how your treatment goes but we want to keep the side affects down. At that point in time the best studies said it gave you a slight edge.
Since then the water has cleared a bit, the main thing to remember is this is all very new, there is very little good data & certainly at the time I had to make my treatment decision even less, things are moving fast.
The upshot for me is it was the right decision. The latest results which are from 412 3a f4 patients showed riba gave no additional help but added serious unnecessary sides affects. Discussing the these most recent results with my specialist he said that time will tell but yes it is beginning to look like for 3a patients with high F scores it is the lenght of treatment ie. At least 12, 16 better 24 best not adding riba which just makes sticking with it harder for no gain. Once again I think this is just part of the early days of learning. I worked for me in 7 days of sof/dac my virus is undetectable & my ALT is the lowest score I have ever had in 24yrs of testing at 11. I intend to do 24 weeks as I have no side affects except the 1stweek very mild & that is what the testing is showing is working for someone like me with F4.
Regards & good luck everyone Angus

    Hi Enkel

I’m not an expert but I’d then have a crack at Sof/dac/simp as a triple. Not sure about the resistance thing with DAAs I’ve heard that it is less of a concern than with previous treatments and PIs. Em

    Hi Jimmy

On behalf of Dr Freeman and Fixhepc thank you for agreeing to assist as with the forum moderation. It has become very busy and we will need all the help we can muster. Now remember with this little bit flexibility comes huge responsibility and you know what the good Doctor says:……I’ll leave it for him lol. Em

With all the bad press you think Gilead would treat the 200,000 vets with meds at cost. No they will wring the insurance companies for a bit longer and hope for a bit more cross infection. With Gilead’s moral responsibility aside, the Government infected most of these men with HCV before a shot was fired, with filthy those filthy pressure guns. Now if the US government was private sector multi national, they would not exist now.

    Hey Tariq

So no funds transfer directly to the company? This would increase your marketability by a long way. For us in Australia and other countries Western Union is very expensive on top of the US dollar conversion. Is there an issue with direct funds transfer to you?? This provides additional security for clients and has a better look than Western Union? Em

    Thanks Price

It is with regret that I have to respond to this and take my foucs away from our core business on this site.

Actually that’s not the original version but hey, you edited the original yesterday after I raised my concern privately with you. In the original post you mentioned that I was responsible for sending meds to people in the US. Furthermore to ensure access for 200,000 vets you may have to sleep with me.

Obviously my subsequent comments did respond to those 2 points, when I stated that fixhepc is willing to facilitate access everyone without sexual favour. And clarified that we don’t send meds to anyone.

But hey I could go on but will refrain. Why is it OK for you to edit your original post and present it in open forum as a post I had an issue with. I don’t know what your issue is with me, I don’t know what your end game is, my type C personalality wants to kid glove you but fuck it, I’ll give you enough rope to hang yourself. On inquiry your reputation precedes you and this is typcial behaviour. Em

Awesome results and I’m wondering if these types of reductions happen mostly. And that the mopping up happens from this point to week 4. So all but destroys and then the body takes a little time to eliminate the gabbage? Em

Hi GAJ, ta for the tag and add on, all useful info. Yes you can have a consult with GP2U from there, forward pertinent documents into your GP2U file for docs perusal, get a script, order/funds transfer, wait a couple and then fly in and cure. Em

    Hey Honker

Welcome to the forum, sometimes Dr Freeman gets booked out, as you can imagine it is a pretty popular clinic atm. Don’t worry a consult and script is the least of your worries down here and there are a couple of hundred GP’s writing scripts/consults etc. However, I’m sure you will get to see James soon. Talk to admin at GP2U and advise of your situation, they will sort something out. It is not illegal for US citizens to come to Australia, pick up your meds, touch the harbour bridge and go home. Perfect legal and many have done/and are doing just this. It generally takes about 3 weeks from money transfer to pharma to testing and pick up in tassie. So not too much too coordinate really. Em
