I think your graphic is relevant, it gives some concept of the size of the budget that Big Pharma has available to contribute to the lobbying costs for the TPP.
Perhaps we should ponder which bucket those costs end up in. “Detailing”? Or “Educational and Promotional Meetings”? Maybe even chuck a bit into “Promotional Mailings”?
However they actually assign the costs they sure have a s***load of money to throw around to influence people making the decisions about the TPP. In which case it’s not surprising that the TPP looks set to limit generics use.

Yes, it is definitely much stronger mostly due to selective breeding of the best strains, hydroponics just makes that easier to do but even with ‘homegrown’ people tend to use the seeds from the best quality they or their friends have smoked lately. So we are continually selecting for more potent strains.

Jokes aside, that’s a good question Hazel particularly for those with Gt3 and higher fibrosis levels already. I suspect my fine wine intake for the foreseeable future is going to be limited to an occasional glass at special dinners and will be symbolic/for the flavour. So it would be nice to have an alternative social lubricant and stress reliever that I can use from time to time. From what I can read in the report DAA use is seen to reduce the risks of steatosis and associated fibrosis due to food and alcohol so I assume there would be at least some risk reduction seen post SVR with cannabinoids too. I suspect it will come down to quality of life versus risk as you say and the quantities consumed. Sigh!

Hi Matt,
India does have very strict rules around pricing of medications so it doesn’t surprise me that a price change would cause delays even if not in your case.
I would think one week is probably a best case situation and Tim is either aware of some current delays to your location or is under promising rather than risking disappointing you.

I worried more before Tx when I had no plan or way forward than I do now but my current thoughts are as follows.
I do still worry from time to time and that is natural given the profound effect this virus has on all of us but for the most part I just try to get on with living to my best ability what is now a better quality of life than previously even with the occasional little niggles and doubts we have to put up with.
I have nine days pills left and then the waiting begins again and no doubt some anxiety will come with that. But I’m concious that, as Lynne says, the odds are very much in our favour and so I will just hold the course and keep trusting in these overwhelmingly effective medications until I get my SVR results.
As for retreating……crossing that bridge is still a way off. I suspect that when the time comes if I need to cross I will, but how and when can wait until that is determined and I see what the bridge looks like.
