Thanks Alsdad, I wasn’t sure if it could be done quite so quickly or if I needed to give the body a few days to get used to the change. Much appreciated! Regards, Gary

Dr Freeman, I have a question about changing times if it isn’t too much of an imposition. I am using the Mesochem Sof & Dac. My 16 day blood tests were: AST down from 74 to 23, ALT down from 140 to 21, and viral load down from 5.6 L.IU/mL to 2.2 L.IU/mL. All other tests that you mentioned, PT-INR, Creatinine, Bilirubin, etc., have improved and were/are in the normal range. I have basically no side effects other I I find I have trouble getting to sleep. I am now on day 23. I would like to switch from night to morning. How many days do I need to take to make the switch? I am thinking to do it over a one week period but not sure if that is enough time? I would be grateful if you could advise. Regards, Gary

Test Unit Mike, agreed about building faith. I tried to find a company in China or Japan to test the goods but most simply did not reply to the emails or gave a stock reply informing me that they would love my business as long as I would jump through numerous hoops and pays ridiculous amounts of money. As for Mesochem, I think some people still have an image of made in China products being inferior to other countries goods or fake (there are MANY so buyer beware is strongly advised) but China does have world class companies making excellent goods, as well. Even my wife, who is from Shanghai, advised me to tread carefully. In the end I figured as the Fixhepc folks had verified the quality many times over that I should just test it on myself, as you have, and have bloods done after 2 weeks just to confirm everything was as it should be. I am very, very happy I did so and hope your and my results help others who may be sitting on the fence debating what to do. My only advice to people considering doing as we have is to ONLY buy from a company that has supplied verified goods, independent tested – (Mesochem in China and others in various countries now ) buying from any old company on Alibaba is a risk I wouldn’t even consider unless i was at death’s door and had absolutely no other option. Hope your Test continues to go well and you make it to Tasmania as a healthy man, sooner rather than later. Best, Test Unit Gary

SShady43, I got the Mesochem Sof & Dac and did not have them tested as I am in Japan and it is not possible to do so here. I just had blood tests done after 16 days to verify that the drugs were working and that there were no problems. My results came back quite good. AST down from 74 to 23 – normal, ALT down from 140 to 21 – normal, and viral load down from 5.6 L.IU/mL to 2.2 L.IU/mL. Not quite undetected but getting very close and quite a massive drop, and after only 16 days. All other tests were in the normal ranges, as well. My dealings with Mesochem were efficient and professional on their part. I did not have a prescription and I ordered my Sof/Dac in late July this year. best of luck. Gary

M, good on you! Using a bit of creativity for the sake of getting rid of HepC is all good in my books. If the government/big pharma didn’t make things so difficult for people we wouldn’t need to be so creative. As you say, no harm, no foul. I applaud you on posting, though the “wrong people” may see the posts, hopefully the “right people” see if more often and get creative as you have and heal themselves sooner rather than later. I also worried about posting my way of dealing with the situation as I also got creative but I figure, as you seem to, ya gotta do what ya gotta do and deal with any fallout as it comes. Luckily it worked out for both of us so far and hopefully it works out for anyone else doing the same. Good luck!

Life, having you send a scale probably would have been faster – my scale was shipped to the wrong address so had to be reshipped. So, I am a week behind my planned schedule but an extra week is minor to the time I have waited for tx. However, I am very much looking forward to being able to start tx soon, and hopefully be hepc free very, very soon. take care!

Jolie, as London Girl wrote, most people on the forum are going through the Buyers Club but some of us do not live in Aus or a country that is open to import of these medicines by people for personal use and/or do not have a prescription so we have gotten our meds from other sources (generally Mesochem in the past but it seems other countries are also possibilities now), and are just accessing the forum to gather information so we can treat ourselves, with or without professional support. Also, in the beginning of this I don’t think there was a Buyers Club so everyone was ordering the meds themselves as powder. However, the Aus government and the supplier seem to have gotten somewhat stricter about encapsulating/selling to individuals so the Buyers Club was formed as a way to facilitate treatment. Don’t quote me on that but I think that is what has happened. As for myself, I live in Tokyo and it is basically impossible to get a prescription from anyone here to source the meds by oneself so I dealt directly with the Chinese company. In that situation, the Buyers Club/Dr Freeman cannot assist with the testing/encapsulating as there must be a prescription connected with the meds. I am not sure about all of the details regarding who can or can’t import to which country so you would need to ask someone else if you are interested. Regards, Gary

Thanks, Em. Very interesting website, very detailed. There seems to be lots of useful links/tools on this site but most of it seems to be randomly posted in various forums. It would be great if they could be gathered into one place. Do you think that would be possible or too much energy/effort involved? Regards, Gary

Everyone, this is copied and pasted from the Solvadi/Daklinza usage guidelines supplied by the respective pharma companies though it is for tablets so not sure if capsules/powder would have different guidelines.

Store DAKLINZA tablets in a cool
    dry place where the temperature
    stays below 30°C.

Keep SOVALDI tablets in a cool, dry place
    where it stays below 30°C.

Life, here is some information from the pharma companies. I am not a doctor so have absolutely no idea about other drug interactions. I don’t take any other drugs or supplements so there is no issue for me in that regard. I saw a link somewhere on the forum about interactions but have no idea what forum it was on.

    1. If I were you I would very, very seriously consider talking with Dr Freeman or some other healthcare professional. These are powerful drugs and the treatment and possible side effect dangers really depends on your individual situation. A few dollars invested in professional support is an excellent investment.

    2. I would also do some in depth research, read and educate myself before starting treating so you are aware of the ramifications of treating yourself with this method. I am far from an expert on the subject but have read tons of reports, studies on the trials, applications for approval to the FDA and their European counterpart, etc,. etc., so feel quite comfortable with self-treatment but I have also found a liver specialist that will support me informally as he cannot support me formally because I am using medicine in a combination that is not yet covered by health insurance in Japan.

Getting information on these forums is/can be a good idea but tends to be information from regular people. Though well-meaning and sometimes quite informative, the “advice” on these types of forums cannot/should not replace that which you can get from a professional, unless you have absolutely no way of accessing professional support.. While reading the posts you have probably noticed that basically everyone has some type of professional support.

There are many good websites with lots of detailed information regarding diet, etc, etc.

    http://www.catie.ca/en/hepatitis-c

    http://hepc.liverfoundation.org/treatment/while-on-treatment/managing-side-effects/

Hope this helps. Good luck. Gary

Life, you do not need any other ingredients. Just put the medicine in the capsules and take them as is. Here are some links for the paper, capsules, tweezers, etc. I bought my goods from Amazon Japan so the links below are some examples only in English for ease of use. The tweezer link is to amazon japan as I could not find tweezers on amazon USA but you can see the picture to get an idea of the tweezers.

You don’t need 1000 capsules so search for a box/bag of 100 for each medicine – total 200, though you only need 2 x 84 = 168 for 12 weeks treatment. I bought two different types of capsules, one for for each medicine, just to keep things a bit easier to track.

The glassine weighing paper may not be necessary but it was cheap and easy to get in Japan so I bought it.

    http://www.apothecaryproducts.com/pharmacy-supply/compounding-supplies/balances-scales/weighing-accessories/glassine-weighing-paper.html

This is just a link to a spatula/spoon. You will need to decide which size you want to buy.

You probably do not need anything other than the capsules but my wife requested the other goods for ease of use. I also have a very small funnel in case filling the capsules directly from the paper proves difficult. You will need to decide for yourself how you want to proceed with the encapsulating and buy the necessary tools. Best of luck. Regards, Gary
