Thanks for the responses peoples!
I figured it was my very light weight which was making me crook during treatment. The first few and last few weeks were very difficult. The middle section was fine. The shakes only came from week ten but I did notice a small nervy shake once or twice in a couple of big games around five weeks in. The last two weeks were very hard…. I dreaded taking the pills and have to admit to halving my dose a few times and/or spreading it out to 30+ hours. I don’t like to make that public really but there you go.
I was a very easy case as far as VL and LFT numbers were concerned and I cleared at 21 days, so I took a punt on the dose being enough for my 48kg body after ten weeks, when I was getting bad. I really felt like I was overdosing.
I certainly feel a hell of a lot better despite the weakness and shakes. They are not there all the time and I’m pretty sure, after chatting here and talking to family that I am close to diabetic. The clarity I have now is fantastic.

A quick follow up question Ken.
What are the management strategies?

Thanks for that answer. Yes, I do feel like I need food, often even after eating. I will try the honey and get a test kit. Much appreciated. It seems like a sugar issue to me as well. I am investigating it further with my doctor. If I tense myself up I can feel the vibration at all times. I love sweet food.

I don’t have headache issues except very rarely when mu neck plays up bad.
I have some friends trying the Himalayan salt. I will report back in due course.

Green tea extract is very bad for the liver. A Perth man was recently at death’s door from it and he needed a new liver. They had to give him one that was infected with HBV.
I suppose in very small amounts it might be OK but I wouldn’t try it.

Thank you. I hope you get plenty of SVRs too.

Glad to see you are nearly there!
I have achieved SVR6 and feeling great, good LFT etc.I heard the same but they are getting EOT results not SVR and I can’t work it out. I’m sure there will be a good reason. James and the crew didn’t come down in the last shower.

Thank you very much for that.
Seems a wait and a test for RAVs is a good option for G3. Even perhaps adding Ribavirin. It’s proving unnecessary for the six month regime but for a re-treat?. This person may have stopped too early. I wonder if that makes any difference. There may not be resistant virus there?? Would the safest and best option be Velpatasvir? If you are going to wait for the Sof resistant to wane that would be say six months…. Velpat may be coming from China by then. Better than 6months of Sofdac and Riba any day.

No options for G3 for a different DAA. Dac resistance seems very low. Re-treat over longer period is OK.

Thank you for the information.
He is going to be re-treated soon on the PBS through JF.

The person probably relapsed because he only did twelve weeks but his liver was worse than thought. He is a very big fellow as well. Of course, that is conjecture. He was F3/4.
So, are you saying he can be tested for resistance to Dac and if he hasn’t developed it then he can re-treat with the same drug over the longer course?
Thanks for answering.
Addendum: I believe the date for US approval of Velpatasvir is June 28th 2016.
