    Hi Dr James,

    I am on day 16 of Velasof. I had side effects for the first six days but now feel great except for a little tiredness once in a while. I just saw the comment on alcohol. I pretty well stopped all beer once i found out in oct 2017 i have hep c which i have had for 30 years. Luckily i only have mild fibrosis. I just read the comments on drinking. Are you saying that drinking in moderation (say 6 beers a week) will not effect the medication?

    Hi Dr James,

    Thanks for your input.
    I have no more flu like symptoms i just had it that one day. All i get is tiredness, brain fog and mild headaches no sleeping problems here. But yesterday day 7 seemed pretty good. No headache and very little tiredness and brain fog. Im hoping things remain that way. Just very pleased to be able to kill this virus. Im 57 and have had it for about 30 years. I Only found out in October 2017 that i had this. I am geno 2. With mild fibrosis so im lucky. And in nz the medication is not funded yet.

    Hi Coral,

    Thanks for the reply. Its good to get as much info as possible. There doesnt seem to be alot of people that have taken this medication or have i not found them yet.

    Hi Ariel,

    Thanks for your kind words. I only had the flu thing the one day luckily. I mainly have tiredness and abit foggy in the head. No problem sleepy wich im rapt about…

    Also the day i had the flu symptoms is the day i didn’t have my pill with food. I always have the meds with food……

    Hi im at day six of my velasof medication.. I had bad flu like symptoms on day four. had to sleep for a few hours.

    HI. Im at day six of Vefasof. i had flu likr symtems on day 4 but feel ok now.
