I may not post often, but Gaj, you have offered so much to all of us. I have followed you since I first found fixhepc and your posts contributed to my making the decision to order my “cure” from Doc Freeman.

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

Louisiana explores whether to override patents to fight hepatitis C drug costs

(excerpt) …”Lacking the ability to pay for pricey hepatitis C treatments, the Louisiana Department of Health is exploring a pair of controversial options. One is reaching a deal with drug makers, such as Gilead Sciences, to license production to a generic company, while the other would be to ask the federal government to override patents so cheaper versions can be made by other manufacturers.” …

    Thank you Hazel.

I recently watched the movie, Fire in the Blood.

    Home

An intricate tale of ‘medicine, monopoly and malice’, FIRE IN THE BLOOD tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies and governments aggressively blocked access to low-cost AIDS drugs for the countries of Africa and the global south in the years after 1996 – causing ten million or more unnecessary deaths – and the improbable group of people who decided to fight back.

Shot on four continents and including contributions from global figures such as Bill Clinton, Desmond Tutu and Joseph Stiglitz, FIRE IN THE BLOOD is the never-before-told true story of the remarkable coalition which came together to stop ‘the Crime of the Century’ and save millions of lives in the process.

As the film makes clear, however, this story is by no means over. With dramatic past victories having given way to serious setbacks engineered far from public view, the real fight for access to life-saving medicine is almost certainly just beginning.

    Thank you Dr. James!
This will be my Quest For The Holy Grail.
    Hi Coral,
Thank you for attaching you story. I just opened it and saved to file. This will be a great help. Guess my brain fog is still lifting.
Thank you Gaj! You don’t know how supportive your posts have been during my Quest.
And to Gilead, “I fart in your general direction”!

    I’m in.

    I’ll need clear directions.

And my Gastro in the U.S. basically told me, “it’s only a flesh wound”.

    Had virus since early 1970s..

Am SVR 12 weeks. Panovir from Incepta. The entire process was a breeze.

If I hadn’t found fixhepc, and stayed within the system in the U.S., my friends would be carrying me into the Gastro’s office like the “Dead Parrot” and he would likely say, I was just resting.

    You’re the best Doc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jenrn, Welcome –

I also am in the U.S. and was unable to get coverage. I have had the disease since the early 1970s and also was told I was “pretty healthy”! To cut to the chase, I also would like to spread the message. I just received my EOT SVR 12 week results!!! I am in the Redemption 4 trail; Panovir from Incepta. The entire process was a breeze! Doctor Freeman is wonderful/incredible…

I am in Florida and would like to become proactive. I too am disgusted with the health care system in this country. On the Propublica website they have “Dollars for Docs”. The disclosures included in Dollars for Docs were required under the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, a part of the 2010 Affordable Care Act. My gastro doc received over $84,000 from Gilead and others over 3 years. Need I say more. He is no longer my specialist.

You are in the best place for treatment with the best!

It was not political and you assume what my affiliation is and that is incorrect. The purpose of the posting was meant to inform those who are in the U. S. who are hesitant/worried/apprehensive about ordering their generics online, to move forward because we are faced with an unknow situation for the future. If you opened the artical, under the heading is a large picture of Cipla. I added that I enrolled in treatment with fixhepc and successfully imported my Panovir.
I have been following fixhepc for almost a year, jumping thru hoops with doctors and Gilead only to be denied. I found great support here and with doctor Freeman.
I apologize and will not post again nor will I log in after this.
So to the forum I say thank you, and am sorry I created an unintentional kerfluffal.
Thank you for your support Vororo and Gaj.
Best wishes to all fighting this dreadful disease.

Sorry, if you took this as political. It was not meant as such. I posted out of concern for people who are in the u.s. and might need drugs imported. I am a very lucky patient of Dr. Freeman,s Redemption – 4 Trial and received Panovir 22 days ago. I am in the U.S.
