This whole absorption thing is quite in depth and I’m pretty interested as there is some question regarding me absorbing the meds well …. From what I am reading, adequate amino acids play a part in absorption, I guess you can help yourself with diet too. Found a great website regarding this. Beware of taking suppliments while on treatment though and always check first.Good luck with everything, wishing you all the best

Yes, pleased with Alt , Lowest it’s been so far. I guess I’ll do another test at 14 weeks. Although can’t see the NHS offering me another so soon, so scooting around for a private one, which is such a ‘hooh hah’ here. Have had such a good set-up here for the last 3 NHS ones too, no bruising, close to home and free! I have a feeling my free testing has run its time. We’ll see.

Don’t t think I’ll be going for papaya & prunes though, as I’m now Sofo/DAC . Have but down on the black cofee, may go for a large cup of decaff & hope it doesn’t return.4 days in on the DAC, feeling a little ‘toxic’ and fatigued but otherwise ok, Tinnitus is back, but mild.
Thinking & hoping I’m absorbing better, so don’t mind a few sx as they’ll tell me that’s the case.

Also thinking back to a private blood test which showed ‘Triglycerides (in Cholesterol) very low (a sign of malabsorption / malnutrition) – which is kind of making sense.Onwards &

Hi there Hope, I am so sorry to read you are having these troubles. I would see your nearest Dr, GP? and have some more tests? Who treated the bladder infection, can you contact them?
In the 2nd month of treatment, I got a chest infection, it was no fun at all! It took until the 7th (last) day for the antibiotics to do something – My GP warned me of this, don’t know if it was because I was on the HepC meds or if it was the antibiotic type/strength. (Amoxicillin) Also, which antibiotics did they prescribe? .Did your Dr say anything about how long they thought it would take to work and / or when to contact them again?
I do think you need professional advise re this, hopefully someone will be along soon., but in the meantime, I suggest you try to get to see someone and just check the urine again etc at least.
