I would indeed keep up the healthy living as much as humanly possible.
So very sorry also to read of the loss of your dear friend.
I hope you get good medical advise quickly and your fears can be calmed and current health can be checked out physically.

David Bowie didn’t look fine at all recently, can’t bear to watch that film of him lying in that hospital bed, great song but so painful, visually I can’t watch it.

So very sad Alsdad & Sirch. Been a fan since very young & earliest albums, could hardly bring myself to reply here at first I was so upset.
He gave us so much.
Mick Ronson guitarist from Spiders from Mars also died young from liver cancer and Trevor Boulder bassist from SFM died of Pancreatic cancer young too
Not forgetting Lou Reed who Bowie produced – Liver cancer / HepC .The epidemic for baby-boomers is rearing it’s torturous ugly head I fear.
The need to test people born pre 1965 has never been greater.
