Hi Enkel, As you know,I was talking to MHPharma some time ago. They were helpful and I have heard of someone getting their medicines from them successfully and doing well.

However, when I asked them what guarantees they could give me if a shipment was lost or refused by customs, they wouldn’t give me an answer. I persevered, but still no answer apart from being told to have more faith (can’t remember the wording right now, it was a nice sentiment, but not a practical one !).

This is another reason I have chosen Fix HepC / MonkMed , in case of customs confiscating the meds or the shipment lost/stolen on route etc., I think it’s only FixHepC that state they will refund your money or let you pick the meds from India /Australia (at no additional cost), so I feel that extra security takes some of the anxiety away for me – and anything that can lessen anxiety for me, is a bonus, you know? There is some assurance at least.

Not forgetting that Cipla meds are recognised here in England and I felt this could be helpful in getting support for monitoring while on treatment – It’s extortionately expensive to go private here, blood test quoted by private Doc £650 each time!

Also, as stated in another thread, I hope that my contribution in the way of trial data will also help others in the future too.

me too Debs! For me, it’s names of things, things I have always known – they sit on the tip of my tongue forever and just won’t come to me. Could be something as simple, such as an item, but worst, is names of people and places, obvious ones too. Drives me nuts. Often, I read back on what I have typed – It’s just really odd mistakes, I have never been a good typist, but whole words that sound similar by ear, get typed wrong…Can’t all be the auto-correct !

You know, I always wonder why people belittle things by saying ‘It’s all in your mind”….I mean, your mind controls your body surely? and ‘due to pathological changes’ , as you say, changes causes physical symptoms – It all makes total sense to me !

But, as explained in another discussion, we need to ascertain if a distributor is honest and reliable before we can put them on the list.

Absolutely – eg on Indiamart or such places, I would be extremely careful, Its not ‘a seller’ – anyone can sell on there, it is a marketplace. Producing counterfeit bottles and medicines is extremely easy. I have heard from a reliable source, that they have been known to sell half doses mixed with half chalk powder or some such things, like street dealers.

For me personally, supply chain integrity is more important that getting a slightly cheaper price – We are trying to get well and after all the stress of trying to find ways to access treatment, we should tread very carefully, research thoroughly and listen to the advise of those who have a respected knowledge, medical experience or experience of sellers. It’s hard enough to swallow powerful, but tested medicines, without the concern that they might be dodgy! In recent years, my ‘drug intake’ has been a few Paracetamols, could probably count on less than two hands.

I can imagine the emotions – I am waiting for my meds and seem to be on a high right now as I finally have hope
However, highs can turn into emotional outbursts in my experience – but you know, so what? Get rid of virus & get rid of all that stress that has been building up post failed tx on ‘dirty’ drugs or just anxiety if not getting treated at all – I guess we need to heal mentally as well as physically and we need to be more than a little kind to ourselves,

Hi Alsdad, I agree, it is a sad state of affairs. Read an article on a cancer specialist recently who said he felt he had to follow such strict protocol, that he felt he could not help terminally ill patients with any ideas relevant to their individual cases and therefore ‘couldn’t be a Dr’ due to beaurocracy – Madness.

Good luck to you Debs with your NHS support, it’s never easy when dealing with the NHS these days. My end, I’m still waiting on my new consultant referral, everything takes so long! Had to leave that *very unpleasant* (feel free to insert alt words) last consultant I was allocated when my previous lovely one left my hospital. Shame, as that hospital is such a good one. At the end of the day, if we are not receiving’appropriate care’ from our consultants, it is our right to change under Patients Choice.
