What we all are and have been participating in all along is a HUGE clinical trial. The results of which will have far reaching impacts on the availability of affordable HCV medications to all that need them. REDEMPTION is just a name for it.
This is the beginning of the end for HCV.
Now we will have some war stories to tell in our later years…..
Because we can have some later years in which to tell them.

    Exactly Sir.
This should be a very happy time. I am virus free for the first time in my adult life. I am elated. The main thing is, right now, the virus is not destroying my liver.
I plan to be able to say that every day from now on.
If a problems arises, I will deal with it.

    Worry in one hand,
Take a crap in the other.
See which one fills up the fastest.
We have all heard that and probably know that worry is an absolutely useless emotion. Acting out of concern to change an outcome or perceived injustice is not the same as worry.
Most of the issues I am seeing discussed here have been addressed by Dr. Freeman in an earlier post. The nail has been hammered, set. the hole filled, sanded and painted over.
Either you believe in Dr. Freeman, who has no problem with Mesochem, or you don’t.
He is the only reason I am here.
    I believe in his judgement.

    http://hepatitiscnewdrugs.blogspot.com/2016/02/hepatitis-c-virus-time-for-decisions.html

    Excerpts:

The rationing of therapy to those with advanced liver disease, also calls into question the ethical consequences of the recommendations of the CDC and other health related organizations and societies to screen individuals for the disease if no treatment is to be made available to those identified as having the disease. To do so under these circumstances only produces anguish and inappropriate fear in those identified as having the infection.

We believe that treatment should include all HCV infected patients including those with stage F0-F2 fibrosis with or without evidence of coexisting liver disease. Specifically, interferon (IFN)-free regimens with the current effective DAAs without liver staging requirements and including those without evidence of hepatic diseases but having recognized extrahepatic manifestations of HCV infection is projected to be the most cost-effective approach for treating HCV in all of its varied presentations.

    Hi Cassady,
This is from another post on the Importation into the U.S. Topic:
    (Lots of great info there)
    February 2016

The situation continues to favorable for importation of quality, affordable HCV medications into the United States.

Several options are available. All require a prescription. You can get that from GP2U.com. Get your lab results scanned and ready to send before your appointment.
    (Genotype, viral load, CMP, CBC)
Your PCP or specialist can order those and give you a copy. Scan them and your U.S. Prescription if you have one.

Option 1: Join the REDEMPTION clinical trials. GP2U can assist you in that regard.

Option 2: Contact a legitimate supplier directly. Incepta seems to be the simplest as far as paperwork is concerned. Email curehcvnow@gmail.com for specific contact information. Also, Mesochem has eased their selling restrictions AND lowered their prices. Around $900, I hear, for 12 weeks of sof & led.
    rachel@mesochem.com.

Option 3: Become a “medical tourist” This is the most expensive option both in time and money, but still pennies on the dollar compared to the cost of branded U.S. Treatments.

Option 4: Fight your insurance company for coverage. Restrictions are easing, but time and effort is still required to negotiate the process. In all likelihood, you could be “cured” by generics before ever being approved for coverage by your insurer.

In my opinion, it has never been easier or cheaper to import these life saving medicines into the U.S. than now.

Like I said, REDEMPTION will settle this. I don’t have any cards on the table because my last 8 weeks were Harvoni. BUT, I think generics played a huge role in forcing Gilead to makes its “deal” with Australia, because they saw the handwriting in the wall. I still believe the best way for them to combat the generic movement is to sow doubt about their efficacy. If Gane had made his remarks 4 months ago, where would we be now? If I could have found one negative comment about Mesochem products from a reliable source, I wouldn’t have been mixing them on my dining room table. It can’t be any harder for Gilead to test generic ledipasvir than it was for the Chinese to duplicate it. Gilead has alot more to lose from generics than Mesochem has to gain from them.
I believe the Chinese product is just fine. I believe Gane when he said that led is far more difficult to make than sof. So, what has changed?
    Nothing.
