I have had my recent blood test at Dorevitch Pathology on Thursday. This is my 3 VL request because my previous results only indicated assay range LLOQ <35 when I was hoping for <15. It seems Austin path may not have the most sensitive equipment. I contacted Dorevitch to ask about analytical range but the receptionist would not forward my call on to any of their team because I am not a doctor. According to customer service they have new PCR equipment FYI to those testing in Victoria

Yes, got all that, maybe I have a nasty cold, plus some sx – That would explain the ‘up and down’ thing.
Spoke to the lovely Dr Debasis at MonkMed this morning, he’s very nice, I wish we had him in the UK!
I asked him if he had any advise for ‘helping myself’ and he said ‘ try to do things that make you happy’
It’s a pity I have to work later, or I’d follow his advise Iie in bed with a good movie / book and some pancakes :)

When I was struggling last week with sides, My hep nurse said to me, ‘go home and wrap yourself in cotton wool’ and so I did as suggested. I made changes and slowed my busy life down. I feel much better for it in all ways.

    Hi LG
The sides that I experienced were headaches, painful neck maybe slight temp. I didn’t have shivers or any of the other symptoms that you describe. It’s so unsettling when things go a little awry but I am sure you will have it sorted very soon. I wish you a speedy recovery. #flower

    Hi Ken
At 7-8 wks of Tx I experienced a huge change in the way I felt. It felt as though my body & meds were meeting at a point of resistance. I could not tolerate the lazy heat of a warm summer day and experienced headaches, felt fatigued. At the time I was also experiencing stress at work and my BP was up. I just had to stop what I was doing and reassess. I withdrew from work and friends and just rested up. I decided to work with the meds instead of the other way around. I need my income but I need my health more. I am 9 wks now and as every day passes I feel a new regained energy. I do really hope that your doctor can help.

Well you really nailed it in your that post Ariel It heightens our understanding of the reality in life of tiptoeing on the edge. It is unfortunately true that there are some medicos that cannot be trusted or who are completely so inefficient and incompetent they plainly shouldn’t be on the job. 40 years past I learnt the hard way about trust and naivety. I lost my beautiful daughter as a result of medical incompetency. Realising and understanding this has assisted me with regard to decisions I make for well being. I now always second guess and question any announcement, prediction or medical process as you do now. I didn’t take up the offer of interferon treatment on numerous occasions as I quite frankly didn’t think I would survive.

#love You are a tough cookie and a wise one. Online you sound so lovely and have such an all encompassing, vivacious spirit.
Legal proceedings are something else and from what I have observed by previous experience again that there is a need err on the side of caution and mostly be strong and give yourself time. I do absolutely think that you have a case and I wish you well and strength. #flower

and yes this is different I think Fixhepc is an alternative choice and a good one
sorry, I do believe this is a #rant

These seem to all reduce with the weeks.

Thank you so much Emma for taking the time to record your story. I don’t understand how your doctor could not approve a viral load test! That is disgraceful behaviour by a medical professional. Good news for you in the end though. :+1:

I have similar sx as described by you however they have strangely reappeared at 8 weeks just when I thought I was beginning to feel really good. I have been taking meds in the morning but now I am planning to take them in the evening. Maybe I can sleep through the sides. Every day is a different day.

Only 10 days to go – how wonderful for you. I wish you the very best post treatment #flower
