Thanks Ken. Always good to know you’re not alone.
Just had to cancel a social engagement for this afternoon and it’s triggered all this self-doubt – have I cause the fatigue myself? am I exaggerating it? could I really gave gone anyway and made other people happy? I’ve had a lifetime of cancelling things and making excuses, feeling weak when I do it… so sick of it. (Shakes self out of self-pity…
I’m undetectable. This is not like after the interferon. The odds are much better. I’m holding onto that.
It’s really all good. I have a good life with good friends and they’ll understand. Going to bomb my mind out with some Netflix now… (watching Jessica Jones – good dark fluffy tv harmless tv drug…
Oh God, foggy brain didn’t check the category and I’ve posted in FixHepC Admin. Can someone move this to Patient Stories?
Good luck to you too Chejai! Sorry such a late reply – been trying to put my mind on thing other than Hep c for a while.
Thanks all. Very reassured!
Sorry no reply for a while – been trying to just take the pills, then avoid all thoughts of disease and just live…
Thanks very much for that Joy – it’s immensely reassuring!
I should add that I’m on day 20 of sof & dac.
Would love to hear from someone knowledgeable about CYP3A4 and soy. Is the research I linked to reliable and relevant for our purposes? Is soy an inducer of CYP3A4? If so, is it a strong inducer?
BTW just got up at 6am and I’m feeling fine. Not unheard of, but not usual for me…
personally I’m happy to give up lots of favourite things for 12 weeks. But I don’t want to convince you either way. Best talk to experts.
Sorry Zhuk didn’t notice Flyingfox was talking about Led.
Zhuk the concerns about CYP3A4 relate to Daclatasvir.
Hi FlyingFox, I don’t think we can draw definite conclusions yet. I have miso in the fridge too, and I decided not to have it for lunch today. But the link I posted was to a solitary study on rats, and I’ve only seen the summary page. I’ve seen soy described as an inhibitor elsewhere, which wouldn’t be so bad (if you want to dose up).
I think we need to hear more from the medical and scientific people on the forum…
This is fascinating. I’ve just started Sof/Dac treatment and I’ve been considering taking ALA as I’m concerned that as well as the virus I may have Post-Interferon Syndrome, and there is apparently evidence that ALA can help with this. However I’m worried about taking any supplements due to possible interaction with Daclatasvir. Is ALA safe to take with Dac?
Thanks everyone for the support. This is such a wonderful site.
Just took day 2 pills. Onward and upward!
Thanks LondonGirl! Day 2’s dose is an hour away – feel like I’m in the swing of it now. I’ve had a real sloth cave of a day. I think it’s an emotional hump – memories of interferon horror. This is going to be different!
