Hi James could you tell me what a AFP is ? I finished 24 weeks on the 9th april I havent lined up any tests yet. Can you supply any coupons for lab testing , as now we have to pay ? Also do you have any concerns about DAAs that there is now more being revealed that is a down side, or is it just inevitable that there is always a certain amount of damage done with meds, like chemo cure vs damage.Thank You Jill

Hi LG sorry to hear your struggle continues. Ive been away alot and not reading as much on the forum. Sending you Best Wishes. I also have not felt the fibroscan has been something I could trust because of different readings, then add another year on without up to date test …. is what led me to just go the 24 weeks sof / led . Ive got 21 days to go. After awhile you just get used to the extra weeks and it becomes auto pilot. The weeks past quickly. Remember the fat lady’s not singing yet. ( i hope you know that expression) coz if you dont its a weird thing to say, especially to a thin person. Anyway my hearts in the right place. Good Luck, she’ll be right mate. Jill

Hi Ariel Hope the trip to Melbourne went well. I was with royal melbourne hospital but didnt bother going back to them for monitoring as the response from them was not to take buyers club medication. That was 6 months ago. I have felt safe in the care of gp2u and Saint Freeman.I heard today from a friend who i tried to encourage into buyers club, but i couldnt convince that she received 24 weeks of the real deal harvoni. Good on her, but cost the govt 120 k and 6 months longer with the virus. So some people are getting it. Its all very absurd really when the same ingredients are only $4000 for the 24 weeks. Mad that the money is being spent so exclusivly on a few when many could be included without the waiting. I wonder how are they going to tell people theres a cue.?……..anyway. Hope your weekend is fabulous. Best wishes jill

Thank you Ariel and Jaz. Nice to have your support. Yes I need to be careful with aspro. Iam probably over treating myself with the double dose, but I dont want to look back and wonder what if. For many people if they have up to date tests they will know exactly if 12 weeks is enough or not. I assume Ariel you are a buyers club purchase , and not taking meds from Melb hospital. Good to see the gp2u is fast tracking that process as well. Makes me wonder how quickly the free meds will last before the funding runs out. Hi Jaz how far are you on the journey ? Thanks and good luck to you both. Jill

Hi just reporting back on the little internal bleeding problem. The problem has been resolved as the damage done was from taking aspro clear. Looks like iam sensitive to this. Not related to taking sof/led or liver bleed… carry on everyone business as usual. 4 weeks to go to complete my 6 month journey. Best wishes jill

Hi everyone ive been off the forum for a while but have been reading posts from time to time. As ive mentioned i have gone for extended treatment of 24 weeks. I have 35 days to go. Mostly sleep is the only side effect in that it has been hard to get to sleep. However I would like some advice please. My last 3 bowel movements have been jet black…..I have not eaten anything which would effect the colour. I drink a truck load of coffee, but that is normal for me, so in theory would not change the colour. At the momeny Iam feeling very uneasy. Is this medication related ? Could it be liver related. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Jill
