I’m scheduled to see my FNP, that’s, Family Nurse Practitioner (in case you were wondering), this Thursday am. Wants fasting labs done. These results won’t provide VL levels and the important findings I’d like to know concerning tx.

ma…Besides the VL, there are a few findings that you can get now that will show progress
with the meds. I’m sure your FNP will order them, but just in case of miscommunication with
whomever, make sure CMP’s (comprehensive metabolic panel) are ordered or LFT’s, if they
can be ordered separately. The LFTs are generally included in CMPs. The CMP has other
important results for the liver as well. You will know before July that things are working.

D…that article by Mike is very informative. Not to instill FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt),
but my mom passed from liver disease with a strong odor of ammonia plus she was
diabetic #1. Ammonia is a byproduct of liver issues.

I’m sure your son is fine, but have it checked out. Maybe Dr F could shed some more
    light on it.

Good to hear your son is doing great. The odds are way in your favor that everything

ma….congrats man. I’m happy to see you are ecstatic. Since I’m technically done w/ 12 weeks of Dr Freeman/
Kingswood Compounding Pharmacy magic pills, I was advised to take the additional Hepcinat L extra tablets
that landed in my lap a while ago unless I decide to donate the remaining unused tabs.

There were no side effects. If I still have them, the last tablet will be preserved as a good luck charm. Sorry
to derail your thread temporarily, but these tablets are the real deal especially from Monk Med.

    Here is their website: http://harvonipriceinindia.com/

I found reviews on this site: https://greatnonprofits.org/org/soul-of-healing-inc

Has anyone had any experience with this supplier?

After a little research, see the attached file. Personally, I would stay away.
They have an Iowa address in your attached website, all the reviews are
5 stars, and on the attached file info, it appears they have a Florida address
for their non-profit address. For all we know, that could be a storage facility
non US postal mail box outfit, personal residence, etc.

There are way too many scams in the world these days preying on the most
vulnerable. Like Vororo said, stick with the proven vendors on this website.

I have posted before about a War Vet friend who has finally started being treated.
    He’s had two liver TP.
He’s on tx for 24 wks.

He’s been on Sof/Dac for about 5 weeks now.

He’s had to fight to get some bloods done

The good news, his AST :25 & ALT is 18.

    Platelets – 120 ( 150-450 )

    GGT – 204 ( 5-50 )

They wanted to do a VL at 12 weeks into tx , doesn’t sound normal to me.

By the way, J is doing really well, happy and healthy, it’s wonderful to see :cheer:

CJ…I’m not a doctor but have had regular blood work for 15 years. How many blood tests has he
had in the past few years. Dropping platelet count needs further review. Most doctors’ first question
on the GGT result is ” Do you and how much alcohol do you drink?” Some Rx drugs can cause
elevated GGT ,also. Since his ALT and AST are pretty good, the doctors might think that his VL is
under control? Therefore, no VL test? Just guessing.

Since a lot of doctors think they are on a pedestal( not guessing) and not being privy to any conversation
your friend has had with his doctors, maybe there is some miscommunication.

BTW, glad to see your son is virus free. 10, 20 years from now, if he hasn’t already, he will appreciate
more what you did for him……e.

Thanks GF, Hazel and TM for your response.

Compromise has always been one of my strengths, but two quotes stick

Interesting sidenote….my GI doctor (who would not give me an RX for
