    Hi B,

    I am not a lawyer neither… My understanding, but I need to read the terms again, it that I can use anytime a link (on whatever website I want) pointing to a video resource from youtube. What I am not clear is whether I could upload the same video on youtube, containing the subtitles, as long as I will specify that the video is sourced from BBC newsnight.

    Sometimes it is confusing to compare 2 blood tests results when different machines have been used having different “normal range” values.

    Is an ALT of (39, normal values 0-37) better or worse than an ALT of (63, normal values 0-49)? In any case, the gap related to the max normal range is not so high, so one could say there is a small issue with the liver.

    The issue with the video tool has just been fixed.
    I would still need some additional support with the English for the timeslot 3min16 – 3min25. Could perhaps someone write me what the lady is saying? I do not clearly understand what she is saying.

    Hi Everybody,

    I just finished the translation work for this video and I would need some support:
    – I have a problem in understanding the names of the people from this video. Could someone write it to me?
    – Does anybody know a good video tool to preserve the quality of the video and embedded the subtitle in it? The software I use creates a huge video file. I prefer to embed the subtitle instead of using Youtube caption stuff….
    – Does anyone know if it is allowed to post such a video on youtube? Do I have to ask for BBC newsnight permission? I would like to avoid that the video is removed by not having copyright bla bla….

    thank you for the very good remark about being priceless.
    Indeed, feeling good and in addition to this being able to spend quality time with the loved ones or being able to do whatever things you wish to do (in the positive meaning) and no longer feeling as “in the dark past”, are aspects that cannot be valued.     Sorry for being late with this post.
    Here is my algebra:
    7 evolutions x 4 months/evolution = 28 months.
    4 month consist in: 2 weeks to answer the questions of the patient, 2 weeks for the patient to source 1600$, 1 month to get the drugs, 1-2 months to reach UND during treatment.

    Roughly speaking, 2.5 years, so on 31.12.2018 we could help the entire planet get rid of Hep C.

    …..hmmmm….. Sounds like a nice and challenging goal!

    Shall we start?

    I could also imagine some letter sent to G.., Abbvie, Merck, etc, with a text like:

    “Dear Big Company, full of money and with potential to cure the entire planet,
    We know that somewhere, together with other companies lije you and some countries, you set a nice goal to eradicate Hep C till 2030. It is so nice of you, it shows how much you care about people.
    We are a small, crazy, energetic, bunch of people who think we can achieve the same thing like you, but much much faster, till end of 2018! What say you? Would you be willing to join our efforts and end this disease even sooner?

    I’ve been reading couple of statements/interviews from Gilead’s managers that were communicated in the last weeks and my understaning is that G’s main focus at the moment is to identify new opportunities for drugs for which mergers and acquisitions are the key. I do not recall to have read something about mass production/treatment of HCV patients or about real investments done in R&D.
    It sounds to me that G is hunting the companies that are doing the real research activity. This makes me think whether antitrust laws would / should apply.

    If one looks today at the stock market for Gild, will notice a nice downward trend in the last month (ref. Point 25.04.2016 till today).

    Would I be too malicious if I would wish to GILD a nice and safe trip to the bottom (0$)? I mean, I am concerned about their safe journey in a similar way they care about ours…..

    Perhaps not too much related with the purpose of this thread, but here is a tip that works every time in my case when I have this liver discomfort: I chew a small piece of fresh ginger (15-20 grams) and afterwards I drink a glass of water. It is spicy, but you don’t have to swallow the fiber part of the ginger, the juice you can get from it makes wonders. In my case, the discomfort goes away in couple of minutes.

    Some caution needs to be taken into account if one takes pills to decrease blood pressure

    Hi Everybody,

    I’ve been browsing the threads to see whether I can find good information about the following 2 questions, but I got confused, would anyone have perhaps more information?

    1. Vitamin B supplements – before tx I used to take brewer’s yeast tablets and I felt quite good. After starting the tx I stopped taking it, because I am not sure if the fungus used to make these tablets might contain bad substances…. 2 weeks ago I took one tablet and in that day I felt slightly better and slept better. So, the question here is if brewer’s yeast is safe to take during tx ?

    2. Exposure to sun – here in Europe it’s sumner time and I would like to spend some days, staying outside, going to the beach, swimming…. During IF+RIB it was not recomnended. How about now, with Sof+Led, no Rib? Will I risk something extra by compare with people not being under treatment? Of course, I will drink plenty of water, using sun cream, etc.

    Are those perhaps Gilead guns against the Hep C virus using Gilead’s 1000$ Harvoni pills as bullets? :evil: Meaning it will never get used…
    One should rather stay with the 10$ generic pills. It kills theC virus without the need to hold a gun. Simply take it with a glass of water….
