Hey thanks LG
Really appreciate it! Definitely fingers crossed; all I’ve experienced today is a bit of liver pain and sleepy at times – but not the kind of sleepy as in the fatigue we are used to. Probably my system is just getting a workout atm lol
It will be great to hear how you go on the trial too, awesome that the ball is rolling for you finally (and may this be the turning point for you guys in the UK getting proper access to assistance)

ALT 26Yeah I’d already ditched my daily soy protein powder for a whey-isolate based one a few weeks ago. As for the inhibiting-effect, I’m getting a larger dose in any case due to bodyweight ratio – possibly not a good idea to enhance it lol But too early to tell what sx (if any) I’m going to get…watch & wait

ALT 26Definitely something to consider…would it be better to be overly cautious? Hmmm I did eat a whole lot of tropical fruit last night *ahem*
Great to hear you’ve started treatment Phoenix! I’m only just in front of you by one day. Interesting idea about staggering doses back – I started at 6am so is a bit more awkward to give that a go…finish up with an afternoon dosage cycle?

ALT 26Right, now I’m confused lol. Looked up hep-interactions and there are no contraindications with codeine for Dac – just wondering as I had to take panadeine yesterday as the nerve pain in my arm got so that it was pretty unbearable…anyone have any ideas about this? I know the doc uses this site when prescribing as he ran Gabapetin through it for me when writing up my script…and wikipedia is well, not the University of Liverpool lol

ALT 26No worries, understood if you want to avoid a consult fee makes sense to get a script on insurance if you can. Where are you located, MtGoat?

ALT 26Hey MyGoat,
Monkmed are handling the online prescriptions as well as shipping, go to their registration page you’l be asked if you have a script or not – if not they will email you with a doc’s appt time. If you want to help out Dr J with the trial it seems a pretty straightforward process…only took me a while to get sorted on R-2 as I already had the meds in hand, which complicated matters,

ALT 26Mike, you are doing such a sterling job on behalf of US sufferers – all the more power to you mate. I noticed that 2b (I think its him!) has washed up on the buyers club thread on hepmag now too – another comrade in arms to help your countrymen find the path to a generic cure – great stuff

ALT 26Wow, thanks everyone for such wonderful words of encouragement and support! I’m really blown away by your replies
Hey I’m with you Enkel – no idea how I lasted this long with the stats I have either…sheer luck of the draw I guess! Particularly years of high stress due to PTSD and other issues which you would think might knock your immune system for six. I never touched alcohol until about 2009 but I’m sure others have also been abstinent and not as lucky…I just count my blessings on that score.
But yeah I’m definitely ready to lay waste to this rotten virus, before it gets a chance to build any head of steam up in the future. Can feel “something” going on in my liver (those movements/twitches I’ve had before) so obviously things are kicking in. Thanks GAJ re the bilirubin, the reference range (at least according to Hanly Moir heh) is 3-15 so its well in there.
Looking forward to seeing those numbers fall in the coming weeks too! I’m heartened by all your responses guys, and awesome videos cheers 2b and Paul – much appreciated
Edit: Just amended my original post to show the most recent fibroscan score – always been around 3-3.5

ALT 26Cheers Ariel Yes at least its an easy date to remember heh…and I will make a dedicated tx thread so as not to hijack other members lol
For the record I have felt no effects whatsoever today – in other words just what I expected. I can imagine the experience of the hell of Int/Rib is probably seared into your synapses! but seriously the new drugs are a world away from that – you have nothing to be worried about on that score. Look forward to you receiving your meds and hearing about your journey to health too. God knows its been a long time for us all
