Damn, that’s a new one on me Cindi! Hadn’t heard of venomous jumping ants before (but hey nothing in this country surprises me)

I’ve been staying with my mum in funnel-web central most of the year, if its not that its a brush turkey invasion lol

Well done Debs – great to hear you are all sorted for monitoring too…look forward to hearing more as your tx progresses. Very promising after all the angst you guys have been through in the UK :)

Great stuff, Ariel…congrats on making the decision to get proactive and take your treatment into your own hands.

Looks like we will be tag-teaming on this huh. I am GT1a as well and like you (both fortunately and amazingly enough), have managed to stay at F0 over the years…and despite the new good news re the PBS I think those in relative good health like us will be down the public queue. All the more reason to act to shoot for SVR before our status worsens, IMO! Strangely enough I also have PTSD, will be interesting to see if the hep had any influence on that as tx progresses.

Look forward to following your progress :)

Great track, thank you Price…will download if my dodgy net connection handles it :) lol

On BP – you can definitely withstand high levels over time. When I was in my early 20s I had readings of around 220/110 over at least 2 years, based on excessive stress levels (was in the process of realising I had PTSD at the time) Amazing what your body can withstand, really….so I wouldn’t be too concerned about minor elevations unless it indicated another underlying clinical condition.

You said it LG! We can only go up from here, I agree. All for one….one for all etc :)

Really pleased you’ve managed to get on the trial, and beaten the NHS into at least a kind of submission for your monitoring…we aussies don’t know how lucky we are, seriously.

Don’t sweat it Ariel – you will be fine! I have a pain condition too, but my meds don’t counteract – what issues do you have if I can ask?

Had no misgivings taking the first dose this morning at all…83 to go :)

You said it Cindi – it affects numerous body systems. Be interesting to sift out which symptoms are the hep & which are other stuff…gotta say I’m curious to find out :)

I’m thinking of tx like machine gunning the virus…for personal preference an M60 lol. Let the battle be joined!

Great to hear that J is doing so well Cindi – with great credit & courage to you for taking the leap to proactively help him :)

Awesome that he can be a ‘normal’ 15yo now without the scourge of a progressive illness hanging over him. Great stuff!

    Hi Jill,

Yep definitely the disease progression can be unpredictable – main reason in my decision to jump on tx just in case, despite being F0

if you haven’t had a fibroscan, i understand.

    Hi Hamilton

Can’t give you an opinion re cirrhosis and/or in the context of treatment, but I’ve had those sharp stabbing/stinging liver pains for the last few years at least – and I am F0. Also feeling of “congestion” or pressure for want of a better word.

Those with F3-4 and some experience with tx should be able to advise you…but there must be a battle happening in your system now to knock out the virus in those tougher areas.

Hey sonix, good to hear your story and great news that you’re handling tx so well and seeing those improvements. I’m also 1a (27 yrs) and have had all those hep symptoms, complicated by hormonal problems and chronic pain (plus recently an at least semi-failed shoulder op) Awesome that so many have been relieved for you.

I will be on sof/dac as well from tomorrow, Dr J’s rationale was the same he as advised you – could well be better than Led due to a slightly higher logkill ratio (albeit small trial sample as you say)

All the best for the rest of your treatment, and wishing everyone here a great start to a healthy new year. We couldn’t have been given a better chance :)
