    Some US states are making some steps towards price reduction of expensive drugs:
    “Despite opposition from the pharmaceutical industry, Vermont late last week became the first state in the country to require drug makers to justify price hikes for medicines.”

    Interesting, no doubt about it but I wonder how effective it will truly be when you have a company like Gilead saying that their drug prices against the cost of a liver transplant is certainly a fair price. Oh, and Gilead says that with a straight face knowing that not everyone needing tx will need a liver transplant. Hopefully these new state requirements work towards actually ending these crazy prices and not just another piss in the wind!!
