Coral posted an article earlier on the benefits of coffee (The Age). Here's another report from the AASLD conference:

"People with hepatitis C who drank two or more cups of coffee daily had a 13% reduction in liver stiffness after taking into account confounding factors including age, sex, weight, alcohol consumption and smoking – a significant association."

NSW Australia. Genotype 1b 30+ years, F0-F1, VL 91,000 Feb 2015 (740,000 in 2010), Tx naive.
Ordered Sof/Dac from Buyers Club 21 Sept, received 14 Oct.
Virus UNDETECTED at 3 weeks AND 12 weeks (EOT) AND SVR4 AND SVR12 AND SVR24. :-)

Its true I swear by it. I increased my cups. Always strong and good quality real coffee not instant. My fibrosis decreased not increased over 4 years. I was 2 to 3 decreased to 1 to 2 also used alternative products from lloyd wright. Jill

Geno1a 35years fibrosis 2 or 3 different results from different hospitals ??
24weeks mesochem sof/led as unsure of fibrosis status.
currently UND. No bad side effects
Have svr12 ... waiting for svr 24
I now have SVR 36 weeks.

So I am getting into it now (still waiting to treat). I think you have to be very careful where you source your brew...I've had toxic effects from some very boutique beans.
